I tried them on today and they are gorgeously comfortable and I could wear them all day for
work.

Getorf. I don't like them either.

Animula - Thanks. Yes, I like them too. I have started a lost mojo shoe thread and will see what the sartorial experts on Mumsnet come up with for me. Otherwise I will get the Mary Janes and try not to look at the screen as I do the credit card transaction.

herjazz · 26/05/2010 12:29

the fat barmaid ones - need to be accessorised with cracked yellow heels with plasters on and a gold ankle chain

is there anything in clarks? last few years I've got some flat, comfy shoes for work from there. Red ones I got t'other year were luvverly

MarthaFarquhar · 26/05/2010 12:33

not sure about the mary janes either
these have a low heel - are they wildly off the mark?

Hullygully · 26/05/2010 12:35

oh. my. god.

But love fat barmaid and off duty special constable. So many lovely new words today. A harvest.

Sweeedes · 26/05/2010 12:37

OOoh thank you all for looking for me. I'm just starting to understand how fussy I am.

I don't like pointy toe courts, I don't like kitten heels and a don't like narrow heels. Sorry to those who have chosen those shoes. I like them on other people, but they just aren't me. I need square toes and wide heels or a wedge.

I like the shimmery Mary Janes, myself. It's hard, interesting shoes that are also professional are in short supply atm, I think. You need nailpolish or ... ooh ... I can't remember her name ... {scrunches forehead] no good, can't remember ... .

animula · 26/05/2010 15:19

Gah. supposed to show three different shoes. B** hayfever.

kickassangel · 26/05/2010 15:54

fugly

SixtyFootDoll · 26/05/2010 19:07

Jeez
Never realised that so many fugly shoes have been made.

gtamom · 26/05/2010 19:21

Let me put it this way. I am 53. I have arthritis, bone spurs, plantar fasciitis and a bad back. I hate the look of crocs but would wear them if need be. I have othadedic insoles. But I would not, ever, be caught dead in those shoes.

gtamom · 26/05/2010 19:22

Referring to the fat bar maid pair- first pair posted, have not checked other links yet.

Ewe · 26/05/2010 19:27

Could you do a gladiator sandal? They have wedge variants.

Strappy?

These are cute?

IWouldNotCouldNotWithAGoat · 26/05/2010 19:28

Zoikes! Seriously? A barmaid would never be seen dead in those!

gtamom · 26/05/2010 19:35

The shoes MarthaFarquhar posted were not quite as hideous.
I totally understand comfort for wear, and have a hard time buying shoes myself, hope my passionate hatred for those shoes doesn't stop you if you truly do love them. I would love to be able to wear cute shoes, well wear them as well as stand and walk in them.

gtamom · 26/05/2010 19:37

That last pair Ewe posted are not bad.

BariatricObama · 26/05/2010 19:39

these are sensible without evoking the smell of sanitariums and cheap perfume

MadameCastafiore · 26/05/2010 19:41

Bloody hell those Kurt Geiger ones are absolutely hideous - did you really look at them and think 'Hmmm Nice'?

They will make your feet look like little trotters!!

Sweeedes · 26/05/2010 23:33

Bariatric - they are nice, thanks.

Don't hold back any of you, tell me what you really think.
