Well then..... look ad the ad on the right...... you can wear a speedosculpture and make people believe that you have the body of a Hollywood actress! Same thing!.... chicken fillets... push up bras.... all part of the same world we live in!

BitOfFunInTheQuattro · 25/05/2010 18:36

Do you work for them, Sofia? How can you think it looks good?

OrientCalf · 25/05/2010 18:37

rofl sofia - you don't happen to work for them do you?

it's so daft - people KNOW what you look like in real life!

squeaver · 25/05/2010 18:39

Do you work for them Fernan? Hey at least we've increased traffic to your site.
And you sofia??

If not, Welcome to Mumsnet, because I see these are your first ever posts.

That blokes chest looks wrong to me..

Sofiaxx · 25/05/2010 18:43

I am entitled to an opinion..... I am just being realistic. Is this not a debate?

fernan · 25/05/2010 18:45

No, I do not work for them, I work for an airline in the marketing department. Want to see my payslip?

usualsuspect · 25/05/2010 18:45

Which is more than can be said for the after pictures

sunshiney · 25/05/2010 18:46

squeaver · 25/05/2010 18:48

What what a bag of bollocks.

BitOfFunInTheQuattro · 25/05/2010 18:50

As I said, it is easy to do at home, with better results. The VIP package promises to turn pictures black and white if you want. That is literally one click of the mouse.

usualsuspect · 25/05/2010 18:51

doctoring the photos

photo shop hides everything

i think its a pretty fucking sad state of affairs when people want to photoshop their everyday photos.

We are expected to have shiney plastic skin these days.

Anyone else feel we are growing further and further away from REALITY when it comes to how women (or people) should look?!?

H
ow the hell are my daughters daughters going to feel about themselves if this continues to escalate??

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 25/05/2010 18:55

Those are so not the work of "top fashion retouchers". I've seen the work of top fashion retouchers and the good ones produce really good results with natural-looking skin. The examples on that site (which are presumably their best work) are badly photoshopped in about ten minutes with over-smoothed skin. If the people who've done it are professionals at all (other than in the technical sense that you are giving them money to retouch your photos), they're the sort of professionals who turn out the hideously fake photos of Jordan on the front of OK!.

I could do a better job than those, and I am emphatically not a top fashion retoucher nor do I have one tenth of their skills.

And that's leaving aside the question of whether one should retouch.

BitOfFunInTheQuattro · 25/05/2010 18:56

Here's another one.

I have a fifteen year old daughter and I have showed her this site so see can see for herself that all the photographs she sees in the magazines are not real. Before and after examples are a great tool

TheCrackFox · 25/05/2010 19:01

before

after

fushialady · 25/05/2010 19:20

my family covers a wide age range - and i am sure that more than one of us could benefit by a little tweaking - haven't we all had one of those piccies where bra strap shows or tummy not pulled in enough - or as in plenty of mine - some silly billy in background doing things they shouldn't. I for one will be having a closure look xx

BitOfFunInTheQuattro · 25/05/2010 19:24

Another first-time poster leaping in to defend this atrocity

Keep it coming ladies, you are cracking us up

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 25/05/2010 19:29

If anyone really wants some light retouching doing, I'd be happy to do it for you without charging £10.80-£37.00
