Help me choose shoes for my dress

IagreewithNick · 08/05/2010 20:32

I bought this dress in a charity shop and had it proessionally fittes so it looks lovely on.

I have a clip like this or my hair it is navy in real life

Should I get a heeled court or a sandal, I don't like my feet so don't do strappy shoes.

Navy blue or silver. I thought black would be too heavy.

Navy blue shoes..what's the occasion?

cornsilk · 08/05/2010 20:38

Navy or silver
that dress is stunning

IagreewithNick · 08/05/2010 20:41

It is for a school prom, I am a teacher and have to go every year so i did not want to spend a lot of money. So I left a request in my charity shop.

I was not sure about it as I bought it a size too big but having had it fitted it does look lovely in. Dp eyes welled up when I walked out in it today

I am going to try and get some shoes on ebay to keep the cost down.

I am a little worried that it is too young for me and that I am trying to look like one of the students.

I have seen http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400120220460&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT these on ebay but thought they were too heavy for the dress I do have quite wide feet though so the fit should be comfortable. I will be in them for about 7 hours and be on my feet for most of that.

tethersend · 08/05/2010 21:07

if so,

if not,

tethersend · 08/05/2010 21:09

And I would get something classic like these

IagreewithNick · 08/05/2010 21:11

I knew you would recognise the dress tether. I am due another namechange anyway.

pewter but look silver

or these?

bit boring?

these?

like these but not sure about the colour

hungysavingexpertdotcom · 08/05/2010 21:29

Ah, the first Hobbs pair are meant to be the Adelphi sweets court, the second are Ingrid Peep

eshermummy · 08/05/2010 21:30

A silver peep-toe wedge would look lovely I think.
Those H&M Choos look sooooo uncomfortable imo.

like these not sure about the raffia wedge, all silver would be better but it may look ok, the dress has a 70's vibe about it that would work with the natural wedge maybe? Good price tho' and they look v comfy

IagreewithNick · 08/05/2010 21:31

I like those second ones but can't spend £95.

I don't like my feet enough for the last ones.

hungysavingexpertdotcom · 08/05/2010 21:40

IagreewithNick · 08/05/2010 21:42

hungysavingexpertdotcom · 08/05/2010 21:52

tethersend · 08/05/2010 21:55

Not so cheap

IagreewithNick · 08/05/2010 22:10

lol I looked at the viva la diva ones earlier and also thought too shiny.

IagreewithNick · 08/05/2010 22:12

IagreewithNick · 08/05/2010 22:12

grr tether.

IagreewithNick · 08/05/2010 22:19

You have got me thinking about the seventies vibe, Debenhams have these but I think the clip in my hair will look daft then.

I don't think it will work.

OP posts:
Clure · 09/05/2010 00:21
