New Look (yes, NL) have lots and lots of sooooo pretty nude-tone tops and I do believe I've tried them all and every one makes me look ghastly. I need strong colours I think.

I have dark hair and blue eyes and I'm 45. I think I need to be young and blonde and willowy. All graceful and jumpy-uppy like a ballerina.

But I'm just not (sigh)

Tall and willowy with long graceful arms and slim wrists and all jumpy-uppy and throwing my head back when I laugh to show my perfect teeth as my nude-tone-on-tone wispy tops float about me.

This is very apposite. I bought a nude dress on impulse, and reassured myself that once I had a (mythical) tan, it would look better ....

I think it means if you're a blue eyed brunette you can be either summer or winter.

But if you're brunette and have another eye colour (eg dark brown) you are definitely winter.

You can be a blonde and be an autumn or spring as well (see top of right hand chart)

I've got pale blue skin (nearly), am brunette with hazel green eyes. I'm, apparently, a winter. Nude looks shockingly bad on me but I can do it with a fake tan in the summer. Just.

According to the colour theorists, factors such as having a tan make no difference - a colour either suits you or it doesn't.

This quick online test is pretty accurate - I had my colours done once, was a Spring, and came up the same using this...
