Those trousers do look fantastic, I agree Darrell.

squeaver · 30/04/2010 13:44

Oh I'd love to have the calves for those trousers.

OhCobblers · 30/04/2010 13:50

DR do you have a link to LTEC's blog?
would love to read it.

TIA

DarrellRivers · 30/04/2010 13:56

And I think that I am the "bright spark in London" referred to in LTEC's blog.
I am almost famous.

LTEC's blog is here. Tis great and not just because I am not-really mentioned

DarrellRivers · 30/04/2010 14:02

eshermummy, you are indeed famous
Do you have the same trousers?

OP posts:
eshermummy · 30/04/2010 14:09

No, sadly I do not have LTEC's legs or the style to pull them off!!!!

LetThemEatCake · 30/04/2010 14:44

Oh thanks a million!!
am wearing my khakis today actually.

please do become a follower if you like the blog - more the merrier!!

esher, you are indeed the bright spark to whom I refer . Thanks again.

Romanarama · 30/04/2010 17:35

(I never imagined Darrell Rivers in biker trousers!!)

Can I be in it too?

LetThemEatCake · 30/04/2010 18:03

You will most certainly be in it R

DarrellRivers · 30/04/2010 18:19

Yes, I might become a follower
Never followed a blog before
Have to anonymize my google name first though

I bought these recently, but think the ones you linked to DR might be easier to wear - didn't see any in shop so will look again. Which ones do you have Cake?

LetThemEatCake · 30/04/2010 21:37

what page and what's the product name Zembo - the RI site just defaults to home page.

I've got the skinny seamed bikers, same as DR.

Zembo · 30/04/2010 22:01

Sorry, should have said biker skinney on page 6. Fit etc is great, but quite a bit of detail on them so a bit 'scared' of wearing them

LetThemEatCake · 30/04/2010 22:27

oh I pondered those ones, but liked that the skinny seamed ones were plainer, bc of how I wanted to wear them. How are you planning to wear yours?

Zembo · 30/04/2010 22:33

Cake I think that's the reason they haven't been worn yet - not sure how I was planning to wear and would have to buy plainish top AND appropriate footwear. Love khaki but not my usual colour so struggling to think of wearing with anything other than black - any advice appreciated! DH not impressed with the distressed (ripped) look!

LetThemEatCake · 01/05/2010 09:23

how about a plain white tank and heeled ankle boots?

I've been wearing mine with these which are much nicer in RL.

Zembo · 01/05/2010 12:36

Thanks! I've got plain white tank so will give it a go, struggling with footwear a bit generally at the moment - like your boots. The woman in RI suggested something similar.

LetThemEatCake · 01/05/2010 12:48

you're a 3 aren't you? snap 'em up!!! £20!!!

LetThemEatCake · 01/05/2010 13:08

oh - and I also think that orange looks fab with khaki. Also brown.

tulpe · 01/05/2010 18:33

chalky pink looks fab with khaki, as does warm slate grey and magenta.

Zembo · 01/05/2010 19:07

LTEC I am indeed a size 3 (impressed you remember) - but sadly too late and now only available in 6 - will keep an eye on them though.

Thanks for all the colour advice - a colour me beautiful type told me I can't do orange, but brown, grey and esp magenta sound fab.

tulpe · 01/05/2010 20:51

Zembo, in theory I can't do orange either.......am a navy, chocolate and magenta girl as a rule. However, sometimes its about finding the right shade. Having never been able to wear orange, I tried on a pale, almost washed out orange long sleeve tee in Zara and "ta da"!!! It totally worked I love it and wear it with rolled up chinos, sometimes with a magenta cardi if weather is cool. In fact, magenta, pale orange and khaki work very well together. Honest! And it stops me from feeling like GI Jane when I'm rocking those chinos

Zembo · 01/05/2010 21:14

Tulpe - i've always thought orange was ok (am asian with medium brown skin, black hair) - so not totally convinced I can't do it.

Anyway back to say that I've ordered the boots thanks LTEC!! - magically came back into stock in my size. I am now ofcourse wondering if I should try and get the plainer khaki trews My jeans get knackered looking very quickly due to kneeling etc so may not be wise to start off with rips in!!! Am trying hard to think my purchases through these days! My experience is if I have doubts about things in the beginning, these doubts are only magnified in time i.e. clothes hanging unworn in my wardrobe
