Who is buying into this hideous thing? Don't people realise tis nowt but a sham?
Noone under 25 with the body of an angel looks good in anything large and shapeless.

I have these bad boys. Bargainous, too.

Have replied on other thread

moondog · 26/04/2010 17:06

They are great.
I was tempted by them.
I was so pleased with mine I wrote to the MD Linda Linqvist to tell her so.
(She had been sending me emails with header 'Address please' and 'Hello' which I ignored for ages. Thought it was Internet porn masquerading as pesonal correspondence from Scandinavian hottie.

BTW moondog, this Headsprout business sounds very interesting... anywhere I can find out a bit more? Wonder if it may be suitable for some of the kids I teach...

moondog · 26/04/2010 21:32

You will regret asking my about Headsprout.
One of my favourite topics (after hasbeens. I love the way we go from utterly frivolous to dead heavy.)

It is based on principles of ABA-the authors are top peopel in the field. This a lot of prompt fading, reinforcement, you know the srot of stuff.

Check out the link.
You can trial the first few episodes for free.
Here

We are gonig to begin trials with older kids, similar to the ones you deal with. Some peopel have stated it might be too 'childish' but I disagree. I don't see the avatars as substantially different to anything you will find in say, Wii Fit or simiar.
Anyway, I mantain the person using it should decide on that.

detest the boyfriend cardi. And gladiator/cage shoes. and quite a few other fashiony in-things. All that 80s stuff looks fairly bowfing on many many people

Greensleeves · 26/04/2010 21:36

I read this as "my boyfriend makes me tie my cardi around my waist when we go out because he is ashamed of my big fat arse"

pointydog · 26/04/2010 21:37

maybe geometric jumpers will come back in too

tethersend · 26/04/2010 21:37

Shoes and teaching- pretty much sums up my life

Thanks for link, will have a look. Let me know how the trials go when you begin them.

moondog · 26/04/2010 21:37

What gets me are those weird sort of cone shaped heels. They look no better now than they did in oooh, 1982.

OP posts:
tethersend · 26/04/2010 21:39

Shoes, teaching and motherhood.

Shit.

moondog · 26/04/2010 21:39

Oh My God

OP posts:
mowcop · 26/04/2010 21:40

oh dear, is it no to skinny jeans, white t shirt, boyfriend cardi and converse pumps as well then?

moondog · 26/04/2010 21:40

Will do.
Glad you remembered the offspring.

I find this topic light relief from heavy nature of work.

moondog · 26/04/2010 21:41

mowcop · 26/04/2010 21:42

how lovely! Such a sunny place it is!

The pumps are new this week, but not as clean as they should be. I fed the pigs in them this morning!

pointydog · 26/04/2010 21:43

mowcop · 26/04/2010 21:44

Sorry greensleeves, I seem to have gone exclamation mark mad!!!

Also bought a "kimono style" cardi this week.

moondog · 26/04/2010 21:45

A mohair batwing you say?
Was this in about 1982/3?
