Would appreciate opinions on these

I am 38, would intend to wear them for "everyday" e.g with capri length jeans/black trousers etc. Thanks.

Not nice, sorry. OK for my mum (in her 60s), not ok for me (in my 30s).

isthatporridgeinyourzone · 23/04/2010 21:04

Sorry Lolly - they're not very nice.

onepieceoflollipop · 23/04/2010 21:04

What would be better then?

preggersplayspop · 23/04/2010 21:06

I'm looking at the website now, but on page 5 of sandals already and struggling!

onepieceoflollipop · 23/04/2010 21:07

It can be on a trendier website, doesn't have to be limited to that one.

EEK! Please, no!

DramaInPyjamas · 23/04/2010 21:09

My Gran had those in the 80s.. In sky blue and in tan.

onepieceoflollipop · 23/04/2010 21:10

Hmm they're a bit frumpy.

I have these sandals, they're not exactly high fashion but they are really comfy and go with everything.

duckyfuzz · 23/04/2010 21:11

what do you want to spend, what colour, what heel height?

onepieceoflollipop · 23/04/2010 21:12

Thanks sidge.

For a moment when I clicked the link I thought you meant the heels that the model is wearing at the top

OP posts:
onepieceoflollipop · 23/04/2010 21:13

Any colour, preferably not black or dark colours. Heel height nothing more than about 2" - school is over a mile away and I do a lot of chasing little dd round the park etc. Budget up to £40 ish.

Sorry, they're awful. How about these

preggersplayspop · 23/04/2010 21:14

How about these, if you like red

I have these, and they are uber comfy and come in loads of colours glads

Or, spend a bit more, but be the envy of everyone you know

onepieceoflollipop · 23/04/2010 21:17

Thanks for all the responses. I don't really "do" shoes so am a bit of a hopeless case.

I had some old sandals from NEXT - bet that made you all cringe but threw them in the wheely bin last Summer so really need some nice new ones.

Acanthus · 23/04/2010 21:18

If you're not sure, just get some Birkenstocks! They're always fine.

preggersplayspop · 23/04/2010 21:19

Yes, Birkies are great. I live in mine in the summer.

duckyfuzz · 23/04/2010 21:22

yes birkies great, or converse for better running around, or both!

I really like, and would ahppily wear these but more ££ than budget, super comfy and fab quality though, my first pair bought 10 yrs ago still going strong

tethersend · 23/04/2010 21:22

I like them

They have a 50s vibe to them.

Dear god, step (daintily) away from the Birkenstocks. They are never fine. Ever.

onepieceoflollipop · 23/04/2010 21:27

ducky See I can't see much difference between my first link and your link of 21:22.To me they are both lovely red sandals. Sorry, bet I have made some of you cringe again!

I just don't "see" shoes iykwim.

OP posts:
preggersplayspop · 23/04/2010 21:34

I like the Camper ones, the difference is....erm.....the heel, the toe, the buckle, the straps, the shape. The colour is the same, granted.

MissWooWoo · 23/04/2010 21:57

hmm, they are a little "ageing" ...

brown but nice?

pretty red

perky!

cornsilk · 23/04/2010 21:59

someone linked to a gorgeous sandals site last week but I can't remember it now. Grrrrr.

wubblybubbly · 23/04/2010 22:46

Quite like www.faith.co.uk/tan-delilah-wedge-shoe-prod571776/ but they're £50. Look sturdy and comfy though.

Also liked the M&S ones MissWooWoo linked too.

vanitypear · 23/04/2010 23:19

I don't like Camper ones either. Make for the glads - you can't go wrong.
