Oh god I just wasted 2 hours of no children time - I HATE the high street!

After paying someone to look after my 2 small children today and giving myself a "treat" - 2 hours in the largest shopping centre in Scotland - I feel very despondent and it was certainly not a treat.

I think I have had it with the shops - I just hate trailing round and it all the stuff in Next et al looked cheap and nasty. The only shop with anything half decent was Monsoon but that is at the top of my price bracket at the moment and I can't bring myself to buy stuff when I know the sales are so great. I've tried to buy stuff online but I am a funny size (14/16 with small norks and a bit of a belly but good legs) and so really need to try things on. I am in to dresses at the moment, but as an Apple it can be tough. I worry that I will spend a lot on return postage. I did buy " this", online and it was good.

So can anyone recommend some mid price but good quality sites with free postage that I could look at. I need some new clothes!

I know what you mean. I hate shopping too, I am apple shaped and have just ordered http://www.warehouseoutlet.co.uk/lace-trim-wrap-dress/Dresses/warehouse/fcp-product/298958 this. No idea what its like as yet. I am on a tight budget and do all my shopping online. I normally bulk order in various sizes/style so in most places the postage is free as I have spent over a certain amount. I then send the majority of it back or drive myself mad with angst about which I can afford to keep. I personally find Dorothy Perkins quite good, Warehouse at times and Mint Velvet (although a little pricey). I am coming round to Top Shop after some links I have seen here and ASOS looks good but have never ordered from them. I have also had a few nice bits from Debenhams.

ASOS great, they include a sticky return label in the package. Free return, quite good quality, hundreds of lines.

i can't stand walking round the shops either, i always do large orders online order lots of sizes and styles and only keep what i love and fits perfectly, sometimes i pay postage but never ever return postage, quite often theres 20% codes etc anyway.

I'm also apple shaped size 14/16, i don't do dresses but the places i shop are fat face, new look, dorothy perkins, river island, next
