OMG! Am I the only one who suffers from this, I am 40 and it only started a few years after having my DS. I don't exactly sport a 'Magnum' style'tash but it is bloody annoying having to wax it every few weeks and being paranoid if anyone gives me a second glance!

interesting, that epicare wand - tugamommy is it any good on eyebrows or is it just the finer hair? (btw ladies just found it miles cheaper on ebay and looks genuine here

been bleaching upper lip for yrs and plucking eyebrows... tried threading once and really liked the results but can't imagine doing it myself, it looks difficult.

Get threading ladies!
As it's an Asian tecnique I think it's better to go to someone who is Asian and probably been doing it since they were young. The hairs do not grow back any worse nor can it cause the skin to slacken (like waxing can).
It's fantastic for shaping brows, hairy lips and chins. I find it uncomfortable but no pain no gain I guess . .

I got my ebay bargain spingy thing this morning - it took me a couple of minutes to work out what the hell I was doing as the packaging was in chinese and I'm not exactly fluent!

I got the hang of it and I have to say that it is great! I would be lying if I said it didn't pinch but no worse than doing your eyebrows and it definately pulled them out by the root because I could see the ends and the little bits on the end. One of the best couple of pounds I have ever spent - it even got rid of my one witchy chin hair

I have ordered one too, I should receive it next week now...

After using the springy magic thingy did you have redness...or worst spots? I am worried because whenever I wax my tash' I get spots for at least a week...

nightshoes - do you think it could be used on the thicker eyebrow hairs? still undecided on whether to get one

bouverie · 02/04/2010 11:11

Electrolysis, especially for individual stick-out hairs.

Only thing that will stop you having a hairbrush chin/lip as an old lady.

Painful- like bee stings, but soon forgotten. And cheap at £10 for 5 mins once every few months or so depending on how many hairs and if/how quickly they grow back.

I didn't have any redness at all, I just stuck some face moisturiser on and you wouldn't even notice I had done it. However, I think you have to just go for it and do it quickly, it would probably go red if you faffed around with it.

I wouldn't use it on eyebrows not because I don't think it won't work but because it isn't very precise and know my luck I would make a wrong move and have no eyebrow left.
