I think my lard is evenly distributed. if it were concentrated all on my belly or all on my ass, i would probably feel more motivated to do something. Although, saying that, i have been on a d-word for about a week now. I hesitate to use the full four letter word. it's just more walking and nothing that has no nutritional value such as biscuits or choc. i've probably lost about 25 grams.

try green tea maggie, it's supposed to be a magical marvellous no effort thing

worth a try, but to test it properly you have to make no other effort at all for a while

I bet I'd easily be a size 16, but look much bigger if I was 10 stone.

It's so much harder to carry weight when you are short. Every pound shows.

I'm aiming to get down to 7st7 and back into my fave size 6 jeans.

Ooh all you tall people!
I´m only 5ft and 55kgs & feel like a barrel.

Need help!

I drink 2 cups of green tea most days but guess my food intake is too high for it to have an effect.
Am also menopausal

It's not all that great being taller! I'm 5'9 & used to be 10 stone which I loved. Now nearer 12 stone & feel & look a complete fatso. Just find it too hard to diet with 3 small dd's and I just love my food & wine too much Any tips for tallies greatly appreciated too!

i'll have to try the green tea? is that what it's called. just walk into health food shop and ask for 'green tea'. It's not a particular brand??

It is old money! there are 14ilbs in a stone so 120ilbs is 8.8 stone so just over 8 and a half stone

and 130 ilb is 10 pounds more so is indeed 9.4stone.

and I agree with just when - being taller doesn't mean we can over eat anymore than a person not as tall or even shorter

I have muscles in my legs aswell they are great for burning up the fat...

Fat here too, size 16, weighing in at 13 stones 10lbs, 5'6 tall.

I don't think you are fat, at all. Your weight/proportions sound average/slightly plump. Size 12, a 28inch waist is hardly fat for 5'2. To be honest, you sound curvaceous-like you have a bust, a waist that is defined, and a bit of fruit in the boot (and that is no bad thing!)It's about what your own self image though-if you really don't feel comfortable, you could knock off half a stone or so, but don't lose too much.

pleasantly plump, as my grandma would say.Not to be drastic though, just sensible eating and walking 30 mins extra a day should do the trick.

beeny - are you indian? Its just you mentioned about eating indian food. if so, you need to be careful about not keeping extra weight around your middle. indian women tend to be apple shaped and that makes them more prone to developing diabetes and heart disease, even though overall their weight is ok or just a little heavier than they should be

the traditional English pear shape is less problematic. so you could be the same weight as a pear and not have the same health risks. unfair, i know.......

exercise is good whatever your shape and is good for your mental and physical health. sometimes you make new friends too

Fill this in.
For the first time EVER, today it told me I am a healthy weight.

Oh dear lord

I am a ''recovered'' anorexic (had a BMI of less than 9, not good, at all) and I no longer judge my shape/fatness by how much I weigh.

I am 5'3 and weigh 10stone at 10 weeks post-DC2 and I don't particularly care. I judge it by how my clothes fit. I have just weighed myself for the first time since I was 12 weeks pregnant. Don't get too hung up on pounds and numbers. I weigh 10 stone but I am a size 10-12,which I consider to be a happy size. Weight means nothing.

If you increase your activity levels and eat a bit less of the same foods anything you are unhappy about will change. If you really want to lose weight, just eat the same things but drink water. Loads of drinks, alcoholic, fruit juices, coffees, etc, are full of calories.

SO, OP you are not fat!!!!! Nor are you overweight. You sound just right/rather slim, to me
