What should I wear with my new super skinny jeans?

Any other ideas? Will plain ballerinas look ok?

don't get me wrong, I love my skinny jeans but wtih boots

I think you run teh risk of looking like a golf club in skinnies & flats

Converse only good with bootcut, boyfriend cut just look rubbish except on teh v thin imo

are you doing "jazz hands" too cyb?

cyb · 14/03/2010 15:55

always

MamaG · 14/03/2010 15:56

is it hard to type doing jazz hands?

MamaG · 14/03/2010 15:56

HOLY MOLY thats what cod does isn't it

She should change her name immediately

cyb · 14/03/2010 16:00

cyb · 14/03/2010 16:02

I dont know what the hell I linked to then, I've got a bit of a temperature.

brimfull · 14/03/2010 16:46

some bootcuts are better than others imo

new look ar ethe worst

SuSylvester · 14/03/2010 18:43

i like skinnies with heels or ballet shoes or flip flops

NOT with converse
NO NO NO unless you are a forrin exchnage student or about a size 8

agree re boyfreind - only for willlowy types NOT POST NATAL MUMS

have blogged tracky bums

WaitingForVino · 14/03/2010 19:00

only one solution IMHO. Cropped. Ie, 3/4 length jeans of any kind. And flats or flip flops.

Boots should never see the light of day when the temperature exceeds a certain level. End of!

Fleecy · 14/03/2010 20:29

How tall are you LaDiDaDi? I think if you're tall, you can wear ballet flats with skinny jeans. I'm wearing super skinny ankle jeans with silver ballet flats at this very minute so I'm biased

But if you're not tall, you'd be better off with heels - or wedges if you want something more comfortable.

LaDiDaDi · 14/03/2010 21:03

Not tall, 5'5" but I am a size 8, skinny legs, bit of a -muffin- curvy tum.

princessmel · 14/03/2010 21:10

I wear ballet pumps, converse , flip flops, short boots or gladiator sandals. I feel I can't wear wedges as I feel too tall in them. I am 5'7" so not even that tall.

janeiteisFedUp · 14/03/2010 21:12

Dd1 is a size 6, tall and gorgeous - even she looks terrible in skinny jeans with Converse type shoes: like a golf club. She looks fine in ballet flats though.

minxofmancunia · 14/03/2010 21:20

I wear wedges or gladiators with them.

Converse a bit Emo.

Am taking all my bootcuts to charity shop, I'll never wear them again, they ARE too mumsy, shame because some of them were £££ 7 for all mankind and such like. get all my skinnies from Gap now £40 a pop and last for ages.

I have one pair of boyfriend wear them turned up in summer with flip flops, I know in grazia it says team them with heels but I just can't get my head round that one.

Cousel · 14/03/2010 21:20

i always wear ballet type flats with my skinnies. even with socks if they are black with black jeans.

where did you get these fab jeans from...

Caz10 · 14/03/2010 21:28

Boyfriend jeans go with my birkenstocks, that is the final word for me (and no I don't care what you say about Birkenstocks )

However, am v v interested in this sandal wedge chat as I hate sweaty foot ballet pumps with a vengeance and I know my boots can only be acceptable for a few more weeks.

Can anyone link to what they mean??

LaDiDaDi · 15/03/2010 09:30

these are the jeans that I'm trying to get footwear to go with.

Ordered

first pair

second pair

and

third pair.

here?

FiveOrangePips · 15/03/2010 10:53

I think straight jeans with converse/pumps/wedges.

Unless you are really skinny and long legged your legs look like this VV, in skinny jeans without boots.

bellissima · 15/03/2010 11:11

I think skinny teenagers look nice in skinny jeans/leggings with ballet flats, but unless you are exceedingly willowy it's difficult to pull off when you are older. Even then, a bare foot in a ballet flat, as opposed to a sandal etc can look slightly odd at the school gate. dunno why.

FiveOrangePips · 15/03/2010 11:17

LaDiDaDi I would choose the third pair of Fly ones - which colour are you getting?

I have red fly mols - they do not work with skinny jeans for me anyway.

FiveOrangePips · 15/03/2010 11:20

oops not fly mol they are boots - I meant fly loll shoes.

LaDiDaDi · 15/03/2010 11:20

Ordered red in first and third pairs and green in middle pair as they didn't have red in my size.

aquavit · 15/03/2010 13:51

I am a skinny jeans virgin (thought I could never be parted from bootcut, but just today discovered some that were rather more flattering than expected) and need your expertise. Can I wear flip flops with them? Am tall and quite big of arse.

If not, they are going back.

justallovertheplace · 15/03/2010 13:53

How tall and how fat of arse? I am 5 foot 7 and size 10/12 and wear flip flops with mine (or I would if the weather ever cheered up). Depends very much on the cut though. I have some very dodgy skinnies that I'd only tuck into boots, and some very flattering ones from Primark of all places, that look great with flip flips. I don't have massive feet though, I'm not sure it'd look great if you had huuuuge feet?
