Does very short hair only look good on thin women?

I'd love to get my hair cut into a short crop, as had it short before and liked it. But i was a bit thinner back then.

Bad idea?

You have to be exceptionally pretty/striking if you aren't thin other wise Pat Butcher territory if you have thick neck/shoulder area

I've just had a foot cut off mine and it's the best thing I've done in years
now in a really choppy bob thing that is much more stylish

i'd gone a bit barbie big hair in the end but decided to be done with the horrible matted mass of rats tails

now very swish but very cold

beware the cold neck and ears

oh dear, i've just washed and dried and straightened my hair and it looks nice today.
i just don't have the time mon-fri to keep it nice.

does anyone else always have a good hair day on the run up to a hair appointment that makes them think they should just leave it alone?

Yes. I think you need to be thin to have short hair generally. I used to look great with short hair but since had the kids and put on 2 stone not the case. I had it cut short a while back and have edited myself out of all photos! Makes the rest of me look huge! I am 5'11" and a size 14 so not that big but it really was not a good look.

Hope not - or perhaps I just don't hear people sniggering? I've uploaded a pic of myself (ignore the pg one that was 2 years agao!) - I think it's as others have said, more to do with your face shape. I look awful with long hair, hasn't looked good since I was thin & teenage (except it was the 80s so I did those stupid sleep-in rollers to give me huge curls!!)

my person theory is that if you have a smaller than average nose then short hair looks great on you.

i'm not 19 anymore and don't have the cheekbones for it anymore.

ah see i am what most people would call thin and i grew out my crop cos i thought it made me look boyish. had i had more womanly curves i would've kept it

I'm 41, have short hair and cheeks like a chipmunk. Most people manage not to be repelled by my appearance. Get it cut woman!
