Has Toast forgotten to put it's sale on-line?

The sale catalogue came on Thursday. Discounted clothes on paper
On-line still says Christmas 09 and all normal prices.
Was thinking about some bistro cutlery but hoping for humungous cost-cutting to no avail

I really like that shrug. I wish I'd gone for the raspberry dress but am hoping that it will still be there when prices go down a bit.

Oooo got my stuff! I bought the nuala jumper in blue and it is so cosy and lovely - can highly recommend it if there are any left. Plenty I can send back though, so not feeling so guilty about how much I spent.

tattycoram · 06/01/2010 12:11

Got mine and the sizing seems really wierd - needlecord tunic is a bit big if anything, while anything with fedosia in the title seems to come up very small

fishie · 06/01/2010 12:33

curses! i want needlecord and fedosia tunics why oh why didn't i order them. i do not want to hear that fedosia top is small.

where is my order??? foot stamping here.

HLaurens · 06/01/2010 12:48

Phew! Glad I didn't go down the fedosia route then! Can relate that Ikat skirt is a good fit, however, and the duffle coat is lovely. The Manitu pullover is on the short and small side and will be going back, and merino tunic dress just looks like a hideous sack when you are a size 16!

tattycoram · 06/01/2010 12:58

It might be okay on you fishie, depends on nork size I think. It is lovely in damson

tattycoram · 06/01/2010 13:02

I bought a fedosia tunic in teh sale last year and tbh it's not that flattering, I haven't worn it all that much. I think the top is much nicer

eshermummy · 06/01/2010 13:34

Amazingly my order arrived 'bout an hour ago despite snow.

Verdict:

cashmere rollneck - is going back. Feels lovely but is VERY chunky - very slim cut through the body but the poloneck is a bit meh - a nice cowl would have been better. It makes me look slightly matronly - maybe I should have gone for the sliver grey rather than the ebony marl. Might re-order the silver version if it is further reduced in round 2 but it would have to be a pretty sizeable reduction.

leah dress in grape - lovely, really lovely. Not too thin as feared. Only thing I would say is the empire line seam is cut quite high- across fullest part of my bust/nips - ok as am small norked but might look odd on a bigger bust.

cord shopper in ruby - bought to cart the dd's stuff around in - not sure whether to keep as think could get something cheaper for the purpose elsewhere but colour and cord is gorgeous - makes me really hanker after one of their needlecord dresses.

vesela · 06/01/2010 14:42

eshermummy, does the cord shopper have any sort of zip pocket inside?

eshermummy · 06/01/2010 14:49

vesela - no, nothing. It doesn't have any fastenings at all - is basically a (nice cord) sack with handles !

vesela · 06/01/2010 14:55

thanks - I nearly got one, but since it would be to use as an everyday handbag (I use one bag for everything unless I'm going out in the evening) would prefer it to have some sort of zip somewhere...

DarrellRivers · 11/01/2010 09:05

My silk velvet cowl neck dress in magpie arrived on friday, and it is lovely, longer than i thought, but i have been imagining it with a a broock and silver heels plus coloured tights
Out of stock now in all sizes in that colour

Good!

So... the blue Katerina dress is gorgeous - very happy with that.

The Fianna shrug is weird, though. Half of it is great - it hangs beautifully from the shoulders, and the inverted triangle bit at the bottom actually works well. The sleeve bits are really low and short, though - practically no freedom of movement & it only works if you're going to clutch your arms to yourself all the time like the model.

So that's going back - reluctantly, because I have zero - 0 - long knits (to justify myself in the face of the Use it Up thread...) and need one.

(In the spirit of UIU thread, though: I had bought DD some legwarmers which she refuses to wear - ta-da, I now have pink arm-warmers almost exactly like the model's in the link above . And they're very useful.)
