i don't wear make up, but after spending time with friends over christmas who i haven't seen for a while, and studying their faces to see who is aging the best/worst (we're all turing 40 atm), am beginning to think i should start to wear just a little bit.

how do i hide the dark circles without,

a. making them look worse with claggy concealer and patchy powder?

and

b. overdoing it and feeling like a clown?

Sorry I've not read the thread. But lots of sleep, rest and exercise plus drinking your daily amount of water will get rid of dark eyes. Cutting out or reducing alcohol will also massively help.

@purplepeony

Touche Eclat is a highlighter - not a concealer. It can actually make your dark circles look more prominent. I used to use it, but then discovered Bobbi Brown- this concealer gets the thumbs up by almost every make up artist you care to mention.

The only other one that comes near is Clinique air brushed concealer.

This. Touché elat is a waste of time for serious dark under eye. Mine are pretty bad.

I use bobbi brown primer (smells amazing)
And either tarte concealer or bobbi brown - sometimes a mix depending on time of year but I'm generally quite pale.

I recommend going to both mac and bobbi brown counters and seeing
a. What they can do /recommend
B. If they can give you a sample to try / consider

While initial outlay is high the products can last years as you need so little.

I’ve had them since I was 4 so I think it’s my very pale skin tone.

I think for some of us tear trough fillers are the way to go but it’s not cheap and I can’t quite get my head around a needle that close to my eye 😭
