What did you wear with your white stilettos in the 80s?

I know I lived in white stilettos for the best part of the decade but cant remember what I wore them with. I found a pair for £4 in Primark yesterday and snapped them up for a 1980s party, what is one to wear them with???

ski pants are everywhere!

thelunar66 · 29/12/2009 23:11

pink combat style trousers.. with elasticated ankles. Will try to find a pic.

brimfull · 29/12/2009 23:11

bunny get a jumpsuit in black (surprisingly flattering) and accessorise with chunky white jewellery

bunny3 · 29/12/2009 23:12

Ski pants everywhere?? Are they? Are they fashionable again? PMSL, they were horrid first time round.

Deffo jumpsuit rather than ski pants.

Or you could go for the whole power dressing thing.

bunny3 · 29/12/2009 23:14

I remember the elasticated combats - didnt they stop short of the ankle? And always worn with a heel?

Ggirl, do you mean a jumpsuit or a flying suit? What shape is most flattering? they

white lacy tights... a stone washed denim skirt that was tight to the knees and then flared out... a lacy shirt done up to the neckline with a charming brooch at the top button.... white lacy gloves (I shit you not) and lots of cheap junk jewellery a la Madonna. Oh the shame!

brimfull · 29/12/2009 23:14

jumpsuit

brimfull · 29/12/2009 23:15

better one

SpanishCYBILwar · 29/12/2009 23:17

you're tempted gg aren't you

brimfull · 29/12/2009 23:17

lolol YES I AM

bunny3 · 29/12/2009 23:18

ggirl, I have something like that but with a wide leg, that's no good is it? Needs to be gathered in at ankle.

Headfairy, I did the brooch thing too, I was trying to emulate Diana tho not Madonna!!! God, I was uncool.

elastic bands??

nah just wer that

bunny3 · 29/12/2009 23:20

Oh my, that second jumpsuit is lush. I'd wear that lots if I could stick to a diet and lose my spare tyre. Wouldnt it draw attention to my middle? Could I team it with stilettos and white plastic jewellery?

Skintight drainpipe stonewashed jeans with a huge shirt belted over them, preferably something pastel!
Plus, obviously, the frosted pink Rimmel lipstick, very dangly earrings and madly backcombed hair!

No wonder I didn't have a boyfriend...

brimfull · 29/12/2009 23:21

no it will hide all flabby bits

bunny3 · 29/12/2009 23:22

Poncho Pink lipstick by any chance?

OP posts:
brimfull · 29/12/2009 23:22

yy team with plastic necklace

hatwoman · 29/12/2009 23:22

or twilight teaser

bunny3 · 29/12/2009 23:25

Necklace, earrings and bag to match shoes yes? I have a clear picture now of the look I am going for. Might try elastic round current jumpsuit first tho as cheaper option. Thanks.

gigglebells · 29/12/2009 23:25

in answer to title - white flares and a silver batwing jumper. and tacky pink plastic tat jewellery
Niiice.

bunny3 · 29/12/2009 23:25

What on earth is twilight teaser btw?

NoSnowHereBoo · 29/12/2009 23:26

I had an olive green jumpsuit which I wore with....oh the shame...white mocassins.

And still I had no boyfriend!

dearprudence · 29/12/2009 23:26

Corned beef legs and a ra-ra skirt. Leg warmers?

Or tight jeans as others have said.

Or a long straight skirt with an over-sized Frankie Says t-shirt (or a Just Seventeen t-shirt) worn outside the skirt and belted.

brimfull · 29/12/2009 23:28

or get some long black knee length socks to wear over the flared bit

or legwarmers!!!!
