oooh oooh ooh this one

i love it. It is on the other hand the kind thing Mr Poo describes as an overfrump.

what do you lovely S& B ladies and gents make of it ?

i'm sorry to have to tell you that your Dh is right

nowwhatdoido · 24/11/2009 14:35

It's really horrible.

vjg13 · 24/11/2009 14:36

The colour is nice but the cardie is horrid!

IrritatedMe · 24/11/2009 14:38

It looks very cosy.

Is that the look you are going for?

msrisotto · 24/11/2009 14:38

I quite like it but i'd not pay £120 for it! Could find something similar in H&M or mango or somewhere.

domesticslattern · 24/11/2009 14:39

It is vile sorry

AitchTwoToTangOh · 24/11/2009 14:40

i love purple too so was prepared to swoon, but i really don't like it. what's going on with the buttons worn at the shoulder? is it supposed to be a funnel neck?

Not my cup of tea a bit frumpy and shapeless

heartofgold · 24/11/2009 14:42

ha that's pretty much a unanimous urgh

which is great cos now you have £100+ quid to spend on something nice instead. result.

BonjourIvresse · 24/11/2009 14:50

I like it but it doesn't look as if it would be very flattering and its a lot of money.

EdgarAllenPoo · 24/11/2009 15:09

indeed, it would have been rude to spend that much on a cardigan anyway. cosy is indeed what i'm after, though probably that £120 could buy me a fair amount of heating, no?.

I've seen many chunky knits - but all low-waisted, long-line cardis in natural colours or black and often ones that don't close at the front (therefore not cosy if worn outside in place of coat)

still not diligent enough to knit anything that large to my own precise requirements (i'd have to learn how for one thing).

so..suggestions for alternative overfrumps cardigans?

I got a great purple one in fatface last year, have you tried there?

momijigari · 24/11/2009 16:03

uniqlo

jemart · 24/11/2009 16:06

Great if you are over 60, nice and warm.

momijigari · 24/11/2009 16:10

cheap
esprit

BouncingTurtle · 24/11/2009 16:12

I like it.

But I have absolutely no fashion sense whatsoever. And am PROUD of that

But I would only buy it if it was £12, not £120!

FimboFortunaFeet · 24/11/2009 16:13

Sorry op

momijigari · 24/11/2009 16:14

french navy

MaggieBelle · 24/11/2009 16:15

wow. hefty price tag. My Mum would love that for Bridge as the hall is very cold. I hope that tells you all you need to know.

lou33 · 24/11/2009 16:17

nice colour hideous cardi

bunjies · 24/11/2009 16:20

I like it and have something similar in black from Primark, although it does have a belt. It did only cost £12 though. I wear it over trousers for work and over jeans out of work. I love it and keeps me nice and warm.

bunjies · 24/11/2009 16:21

Now you see I think the Uniqlo one that someone linked to is much more frumpy. It looks like something the vicar's wife would wear.

cocolepew · 24/11/2009 16:28

I got a lovely purple boyfriend cardi, with angora, for £14 in Asda.

BonjourIvresse · 24/11/2009 16:55

fatface:

swear,womensknits lots of colours

I think the clay coloured great plains one is nice too.
