corny i was in john lewis today and saw that dress, i thought the line of sequins looked very flattering. there were also quite a lot of other similar silky-type dresses so if you do go to shop you will prob find something anyway.

cornsilkwearscorsets · 20/11/2009 20:29

Thanks fishie. Bit of a risk buying from Coast but NO-ONE else is allowed to buy it now.

I am all turned around on departnment store shopping. I went into Bentalls in Kingston in the week, my god they ahve EVRYTHING under one roof

AllSaints, FCUK, Fenn Wright Mason,Jigsaw, Joules (if you are playing polo) My John Lewis has great PLains too. I'm not going to haul my fat arse around loads of diff shops anymore.

Ronaldinhio · 20/11/2009 20:34

ok I've just bought this and I love it but fear it is too young for me...thoughts please

cornsilkwearscorsets · 20/11/2009 20:34

I love John Lewis. Unfortunately I am very lazy and if my ass can stay on a chair to shop then hallelujah.

OOOH ME LIKEY. Loving the brown. it almost looks leather on the screen. Ive only seen black or silver sequin jackets so far.

Well played ronny.

cornsilkwearscorsets · 20/11/2009 20:35

oooh nice
How old are you?
What's it to go with?

CybilLiberty · 20/11/2009 20:36

Top Shop have got some cracking things ATM.

fishie · 20/11/2009 20:38

i was visiting a friend so in cardiff jl. it has just opened and it was magnificent. have got to go to oxford st tomorrow also for shop collection and i think it will be a bit dull in comparison.

there were a couple of jesire dresses which aren't on site, one with a sheer top bit in black and the other with red roses. also this les petites is not miniscule and comes in black too. much nicer than pic.

cornsilkwearscorsets · 20/11/2009 20:38

Now I have scared Ron away with my age probing.

OP posts:
fishie · 20/11/2009 20:40

nice jacket ron. not too old at all, it is seemfully unblingy.

cornsilkwearscorsets · 20/11/2009 20:40

That looks risky on the pic. And it's really okay in RL?

OP posts:
PerArduaAdNauseum · 20/11/2009 20:43

I must be obsessed with seaming - that Les Petites is really badly finished - look at the hem!

Ronaldinhio · 20/11/2009 20:43

i bought this for layering
bought this and loved it but my dh thinks it looks like a sack

cornsilkwearscorsets · 20/11/2009 20:44

PerArduaAdNauseum · 20/11/2009 20:44

Love the jacket though - could easily work with jeans and chemise-type getup if you're not crepey. Not that I think you would be crepey, but just in case...

cornsilkwearscorsets · 20/11/2009 20:45

Love the cashmere. DH may have a point.

PerArduaAdNauseum · 20/11/2009 20:46

No, don't understand the biker dress. What's the thing at the back for? Makes it look like one of those horrible long waistcoats I people wore in the 80s

Ronaldinhio · 20/11/2009 20:46

no I was trying to find that bloody dress (and pour a glass of wine)
I'm 37 and the genius of the blazer is it makes really ordinary stuff evening but hopefully not too 80's wedding

Ronaldinhio · 20/11/2009 20:47

I feel pre children in the "sack"
