Lost my way after having DS2....Come style me

There is a pic of me on my profile although my hair is shoter which I hate. I am still styling it the same though. I am 34 with 3 DC's and I have no clothes that look great as still a dress size bigger than normal. I flit between ditzy, edgy and chavvy .

I am finally going off my uggs (4 pairs) and have bought these converse to wear with my black skinny jeans. I also have these over knee boots but in black.

I have a fab 'on trend' tulip coat which I love and I do hair and make up every day.

Oh and I am on maternity leave so need day clothes. Am 5.5 with hourglass figure, big 32F boobs and a fat arse.

I am not really a Next or Boden kind of girl, I tend to just buy tat stuff from Primarni.

What should I be looking for??? Help me oh style gurus.

LetThemEatCake · 09/11/2009 22:04

oh you!! you know I think you're gorgeous.

are you still bfing, do we need to take this into account?

suwoo · 10/11/2009 03:55

Thanks kristina, it's not as nice now though
LTEC, so glad you've arrived. No, sadly not still bf.

CheerfulYank · 10/11/2009 04:01

Um, have you SEEN my picture? You're way cuter than me!

suwoo · 10/11/2009 08:11

I don't think that's true Yank, you look gorgeous to me. It's not about my face- can't do anything about that. It's about what I need to wear.

Out and about today but will be back after dcs in bed to style you!!

I think the clue lies in your fabby coat- you spent a bit on it, love it, wear it all the time. Just need to do the same with a few 'key pieces' which you can then flesh out with a few bits of Primarni etc.

Will return this eve!

Btw, what happened with the writing and course?? Expected to hear from you..?

suwoo · 10/11/2009 09:12

Yay, thanks. Coat is a different but still fabby coat. The ASOS one was huge and I sent it back but by then they had no smaller ones in stock. The new coat is this one really wants LTEC to like it .

I went for my interview and she accepted me there and then . It is English with cultural studies. She said my writing was excellent . Just got to formally apply through UCAS.

I was too embarrassed to send it to you if I'm honest as I had no idea if it was good or crap. As it turned out, it was actually quite good .

Anyway, back to the styling.........

Black skinny jeans, converse and what?

Have a nice day LTEC, anyone else about?

OP posts:
KristinaM · 10/11/2009 11:12

oh that is a lovely coat

does everything else HAVE to be black or do you do colour?

LTEC will be back soon when she has fed the baby and will give you more advice on the pretentious "key pieces " theme

oh i love munmsnet, this is so much more fun than housework

suwoo · 10/11/2009 11:17

Mostly black but yes will definitely do colour.

Pinkjenny · 10/11/2009 11:22

you are insane. And so, so wrong. You do not need any styling, you are beautiful and always look fabulous.

It's always nice to look at pretty clothes though.

suwoo · 10/11/2009 12:00

Aww thanks Jen. Just in a bit of a shit place at the mo. Need to lose this baby weight.

OP posts:
Pinkjenny · 10/11/2009 12:30

I do understand, but it's only been a few months, give yourself a break. You're not even carrying that much extra!

I'll be joining you soon, I'll have mucho weight to lose and we'll do it together. But, if you really need something to pep yourself up, no harm in buying yourself a few things that make you smile and feel good.

thedollshouse · 10/11/2009 12:33

There is an MN competition to win a makeover on their pilot show. Have you entered that? You look great btw.

Megglevache · 10/11/2009 12:33

erm...you are gorgeous Suwoo, I am shocked to find you on this thread. I too have dd pulling at me and using me as a climbing frame but I'd be very happy to do a bit of virtual shopping later with you

OOOOOh to have your shiny hair lady

suwoo · 10/11/2009 12:35

Its been 15 weeks . No, its not that much weight, but it is affecting my self esteem.

I just need a few tops to make me feel better. Tried some on at the weekend and I looked bloody awful in all of them.

OP posts:
Megglevache · 10/11/2009 12:39

Have you tired zara they have some super dresses that are jersey but cut beautifully with a bit of draping at the front and shoulder pads which will make you waist smaller. They had a great boiled wool military coatigan which I snapped up sharpish

Would look great with really think coloured tights and your boots. I wouldn't spend too much money on stuff if you're determined to lose weight. I'd go for lovely accessories. A fabtastic belt to put over some large sweaters/dresses, a colourful over sized beanie hat. Primark have some fantastic coloured handknitted scarves at the moment (on ein a gorgeous coral pink)

Get some lovely pants and a great supportive bra.- instantly pound zapping!

suwoo · 10/11/2009 12:46

I'm good for bra's always use bravissimo. I have a black knitted hat but might brave a coloured one. I have worn coloured tights the last two winters so wanted a break from those, but could maybe update that look and go for the lacy or woollen ones?

I normally wear tight things but all the hideous lumps and bumps means I can't so its hard to know what to go for.

To wear with my converse and skinnys, I am liking this shape.

I like it a lot in this pattern

Off to look at New Look......

OP posts:
Megglevache · 10/11/2009 13:36

OOOh I like the birdie top. Get yourself to Zara- I think you'll be surprised by what you see

suwoo · 10/11/2009 14:02

Is it not expensive and cut for slim european ladies? I'm a Manchester girl with a fat arse.

OP posts:
Pinkjenny · 10/11/2009 14:23

Some things are very much cut like that - trousers, skirts etc, which when you are at your normal size will still be fine. I wear absolutely loads of Zara (admittedly not at the moment ).

The only drawback is the fact that you really have to look.

suwoo · 10/11/2009 14:44

I know my sister shops there but she has a totally different body shape to me and more money. Might go to town on Saturday and look. Don't even know where the Zara is in Manchester.

OP posts:
Pinkjenny · 10/11/2009 14:46

It's adjacent to M&S - by Heals and Reiss.

suwoo · 10/11/2009 14:55

Is it? Okey cokey. I can normally be found lingering at the top of Market St in primark.
