Just read about it today - it opens on Friday. I liked some of the stuff on their website but was always put off by the price - plus they'd have to ship it from the US! If I was anywhere near London I'd be tempted to go in and have a nosy.

popped in there for the first time today.

picked up amazing black wool fitted cardi with slightly strange elasticated back (my descriptions are always bloody awful!) priced originally at £120 and i picked it up for £30.

HOWEVER, the prices on most other things whether in the sale or not are appalling - could not believe how expensive though its certainly the place to go if you've got some extra dosh and want to buy a "unique" piece.

also, ref: location - if its any easier for some of you London ladies, i was travelling on the Kings Road a few weeks ago, and a big sign is up saying that Anthropolgie is opening in May next to India Jane!!!

Mary Queen of Shops liked it

Am very of people who live near Regent St and have enough cash to shop there. I'm a real sucker for wafty hippy handmade Canadian folksinger crap, me. The website is one of my 'guilty pleasures' bookmarks, sigh.

Jules
having read mary's article funnily enough i thought the service/welcome up until till point was non-existent (a point i made on their comment card in the changing rooms). one of the things i love about shopping in the US is their completely over the top service!! i guess its 'cos i think service here is generally of a low standard.

out of curiosity i looked at some items online that i'd "seen in the flesh" instore and thought the actual quality didn't quite live up to the pics online. however, still a place to pick up one or 2 special items if you've got £80-£100 to spare (for each!).

their PJ bottoms are to die for - just adored them and i WILL be buying a pair this year!!!

i used to love the one US i've been to (in Boston MA) and still love the website especially the shoes!!!

went in the London store a few weeks ago on a rare shop w/o DS and found it very pretentious and stupidly overpriced, much worse than what i remember from the US store? the 'live walll' of plants was interesting though.
