so, have lost a lot of weight i am v. proud of myself. what made it doubly bloody brilliant tonight... DD (16) asked if she could wear something i bought from joe browns as she is mtg up with some friends in Brighton tomoz.

i am pleased as punch. she was parading round in something i bought and trying out different shoes and jeans and i was ded chuffed.

i suppose there is no comment needed but i am dd chuffed

she did say " i bet you are gonna put htis on MN"

OP posts:
brimfull · 09/10/2009 23:30

I know

did you still have vodka at the beginning of the diet?

Tortington · 09/10/2009 23:37

i think so= vodka is no carbs and diet coke is no carbs
but
there is a dehydrattion factor - so when you weigh yourdelf the next morning its not a true figure - this is something i only figured out recently

brimfull · 09/10/2009 23:42

Well done on your weight loss and I'm not going to piss on your parade telling you how bad that diet is (food isn't just about feeling hungry) but PLEASE tell me you are at least taking a multi-vitamen a day as well?
I also second, third and fourth exercise if you actually want to be healthy as well as slim.

Custardo, please ignore Userrlosers.

I think you have done amazingly well and you are right to be proud of yourself. It is not easy.

wilbur · 10/10/2009 15:08

Well done Custy - what a brilliant story about your dd. I would be dead chuffed too, my dd is only 6 but I fantasis that we might sometimes have similar taste when she is older.

[goes to dig out old Atkins book to shift that last blardy stone and wonders if you can still call it baby weight when your baby is 4]

Tortington · 10/10/2009 15:38

i missed the whole thing so i can't be outraged.

think on this thread i might be glad i did miss it actually as i can only imagine!

I'm not surprised you want to brag, I would too!

witcheseve · 10/10/2009 16:09

Well done on the weight loss. DD and I are approx the same size, I weigh less but am a bit smaller in height. She was going to an informal party a couple of weeks ago. She wore jeans, boots with heels and I persuaded her to wear a top of mine which really suited her and she got lots of compliments on it.

Bumperlicioso · 10/10/2009 16:49

Well done custy, but I will also emphasise Libra's posting about being healthy. I think you would lose weight on one meal a day whether you were doing atkins or not.

You must feel good about yourself though, so well done.

picmaestress · 10/10/2009 17:38

How nice, it makes you feel so different, doesn't it? It makes you feel all pretty and pleased and stuff, what a great feeling.
Keeping it off is always a bleedin pain though, I stick to 2 very small meals a day now. It's actually astonishing how little food I need to maintain 8 and a half stone healthily. So different from how much I was eating before!

I'm really pleased for you.
