OK I know I love to be rude about the Toast catalogue - but ooooooh my djellaba has arrived!

And I love it! Soooo big and warm and soft and long and all-encompassing - loads of space for my pg bump too. It is total sofa-snuggling winter perfection. It is a bit pricey but I'm getting it for my birthday

Admittedly I look like some kind of medieval monk/hobbit hybrid and perhaps style and beauty isn't quite the place I should be with this but... there isn't an "ugly but snuggly" topic...

Embroidery shmembroidery! I prefer the cosy sack look - I realise it's totally unsexy though.

I don't really care what a djellaba is actualy for in morocco or being authentic. I'm not morocco (and nor is my djellaba...)

Sorry if I offended you ruddynorah, was being flippant.

ruddynorah · 08/10/2009 18:57

puddinmama · 08/10/2009 23:19

blind orphans, the guy who makes mine in egypt isnt an orphan and not blind and uses brushed cotton as well lol

anyway enjoy ur purchase and yes they are cosy for bed, an abayah is for outdoor wear not really for bed or lounging
