Or has it been replaced by Topshop?

Now, stop it ladies, you are distracting me from my essay.
I am planning to get one of these at the weekend, whaddya think?

Jumente · 21/09/2009 13:54

LOLOL at Fish in a barrel

I love the 'what-a repellant jacket' haw haw

but did I read that quote right?

Knee phobes?

did someone really say that?

dillinger · 21/09/2009 13:59

I usually keep out of the 'style' area of the site as I dont think I have any.

However Im glad I popped in here cos this thread is killing me lol I laughed out loud at the 'staaaand and deliver'

Just the laugh I needed

LuluMamaaaaarrrrr · 21/09/2009 14:00

I like the hitched skirt, but it has awful reviews, and i fear i would look immense in it

GetOrfMoiLand · 21/09/2009 14:03

Lulu - I saw a 'hitched' skirt like that in Asda a couple of weeks ago, it actually looked very nice. I was going to try it on but dd gave me the curled lip look and said I would look like I was wearing a picnic blanket.

There is nothing like having a 13 year old daughter to make you feel completely old and past it.

GetOrfMoiLand · 21/09/2009 14:05

Yes, knee-phobes. I wondered about that as well.

I just loved her comments 'it safely (safely? wtf!) covers the knees without looking frumpy'

Then you look ta the frock and it is the epitome of frumpdom.

Mind you, how would I know really. Am sat here in Matalan knickers.

LuluMamaaaaarrrrr · 21/09/2009 14:08

i am wearing asda knickers and a maternity bra, and my youngest child is 4 , beat that!

I do actually have a betty barclay skirt, simialr to that hitched one, but i am uable to wear it, due to having a mental block about having bought a betty barclay skirt at the age of 34

Jumente · 21/09/2009 14:17

Lulu I totally understand your mental block

I can get a mental block about almost anything. Inordinately proud of that skill

Yogurts is my speciality. They sit in the fridge, being neither drink nor food, and satisfying no recognisable craving opportunity known to woman.

Then bob's your uncle, they pass their sell by date and I give them to ds dispose of them safely. What's that about?

Shoshe · 21/09/2009 14:21

........Slinks in, and admits..........

I bought something in Per Una on Saturday

LuluMamaaaaarrrrr · 21/09/2009 14:23

i have exactly the same problem with yoghurt !! maybe it is a real illness/syndrome>?

GetOrfMoiLand · 21/09/2009 14:26

I am starting to like clothes from Next. That has always been the line which I thought I would never cross. Next, Matalan, Asda. What next in my fashion life, I wonder?

Jumente · 21/09/2009 14:27

No way Lulumama!

I am relieved of a burden, I thought Iw as the only one. Now I know I'm not weird!

LuluMamaaaaarrrrr · 21/09/2009 14:28

or , we're both weird?? naaaaah, that couldn't be !

Jumente · 21/09/2009 14:31

Googled Yogurt Aversion Syndrome and it isn't there

perhaps we are both a bit strange.

LuluMamaaaaarrrrr · 21/09/2009 14:32

well, we can be strange yoghurt buddies together then !

Jumente · 21/09/2009 14:34
Grin
LadyGlencoraPalliser · 21/09/2009 14:51

Link, please Shoshe so we can point and laugh admire it properly.

Shoshe · 21/09/2009 14:59

nooooooooooooooooooo (it's already been linked)

Bleh · 21/09/2009 15:06

Oh the shame. But, personally I think you should show us, just so that we can point and laugh make some comments.

RustyBear · 21/09/2009 15:10

Despite being 53 I am not a fan of per una - especially all that stuff in fetching shades of bile, snot and vomit which they seem to specialise in.

They do occasionally have some nice trousers though - there was a pair of linen jeans this summer which were so nice I bought two, and I am thinking about these

Jumente and lulu - I have YAS too...

GetOrfMoiLand · 21/09/2009 15:12

Oh no Shoshe - mind you I liked the stand and delivery jacket I linked to, it was just the combo with a frilly shirt and the thought that a middle aged woman would wear it to one of her golf dinners which made me laugh.

Shoshe · 21/09/2009 15:15

I am a lady of a 'certain age' tho , and I dont like showing my knees

Bleh · 21/09/2009 15:27

'Fess up: it was this one, wasn't it. It's very "knee friendly"

GetOrfMoiLand · 21/09/2009 15:28

if it is. In my defence (she says a trife defensively) I posted that one mostly because of the knee-friendly and impressionist paintings comments.

Shoshe · 21/09/2009 15:53

It was indeed that one

it actually looks good on HONEST!
