So if you're looking for the perfect t-shirt I'd recommend this one

here It's not cheap I know, but the fabric is so soft. It is long in the body so I can bend over in jeans without revealing ar** and it skims the waist so no muffin top issues.

I can live without a £44 t-shirt

I cant live without food (not for long anyway, i would die) silly comparison

Megglevache · 20/09/2009 22:38

Ali that is gorgeous but I fear that it would make me look like a fat shepherd in ds's school nativity even with my face on.

LetThemEatCake · 20/09/2009 22:43

Ali, it is lovely - happy, cosy bfing to you and your little one!

A t-shirt that costs £50 and wears well, fits well and feels wonderful is well worth it IMO. You'll wear it endlessly, unlike the 5x£5 ones that you'll buy (one in each colour!! because they're so cheap, so why not!!) from elsewhere and then use as dishcloths at the end of their short and miserable wardrobe life.

Ditto jeans. And any other basic.

A dress that costs you £100 and that you wear once or twice to a wedding, on the other hand.....

LauraIngallsWilder · 20/09/2009 22:45

I think Ill stick with a tenner on a tshirt and £40 worth of food

I prefer eating to going hungry

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 20/09/2009 22:49

Meg - it honestly wouldn't. I am a size 18 and I was a little worried but it's so skimming . There is a 25% discount code floating around somewhere - bargin!

Neither of the t-shirts being discussed on this thread would suit me at all, I would look all blobby.

LetThemEatCake · 20/09/2009 22:52

ah, but Laura - if you go hungry, your expensive clothes hang better!

Megglevache · 20/09/2009 22:54

Hmmmm rethinks the no food in larder and hot Shepherd fashion.

Hmmmmmm.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 20/09/2009 22:56

Lol at Shepherd fashion

LauraIngallsWilder · 20/09/2009 22:58

You clearly have money to burn

I have never been silly enough to waste good money on expensive clothes - Im not about to start now

£50 on a coat - yes
on a t shirt - never

CHOOGIRL · 20/09/2009 23:02

Now this t-shirt is expensive. Is that why it only goes up to size 10?

OP posts:
VinegarTits · 20/09/2009 23:13

and dry clean only

LetThemEatCake · 20/09/2009 23:14

must be!! no calories to burn in the life of the woman who wears that one .. no money for groceries!

"I have never been silly enough to waste good money on expensive clothes"

silly

Judgy or what. Sheesh.

Heathcliffscathy · 20/09/2009 23:18

you know i'm all for investment pieces (barf) but FARKING HELL ARE YOU MENTAL SPENDING THAT ON SOMETHING THAT LOOKS LIKE IT IS FROM THE MATERNITY SECTION OF MOTHERCARE!!@!!

scottishmummy · 20/09/2009 23:24

eugh looks maternity and grannyish.i'll pass

LauraIngallsWilder · 20/09/2009 23:32

Letthem - Im not being judgy Im being realistic

It isnt realistic for me to spend £50 on a tshirt - I need to eat

And that particular t shirt is a billowy tent

I think you wasted your money sorry

CHOOGIRL · 20/09/2009 23:52

vive la différence

I shall be wearing mine tomorrow on the pre-school run. With these I may be looking slightly faint as I will have skipped breakfast (had no money left when I got to the till)

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 21/09/2009 07:11

CHOOGIRL · 21/09/2009 09:10

Megglevache · 21/09/2009 10:58

Those 7FAM jeans, I tried some on and I looked disgusting they are for very skinny people, I looked like ummm......I'm not sure, just not right. Not quite shepherdy but wrong, mind you they were brown.

LetThemEatCake · 21/09/2009 16:47
