have just bought a magazine full of teenagers jumping around in neon crappe

will be 40 soon (god) and want to look stylish and eclectic and watnot and keep up with fashion but not slavishly etc etc

obv this does not include neon crappe

any blogs or websites or magazines I can look at from time to time to ensure I do not end up looking like my mother?

It's not Courtney Skott's blog is it? So that's why it's in third person...

Has anyone had Personal Shopper advice in a department store?

badbadbadparent · 02/09/2009 19:35

no it's another woman's blog that's why Courtney is 3rd person

if you think Courtney is left field then the blogger herself is a complete loon

I do like her look though (Courtney, not the loon)

who the FUCK is courtney scott?

she sounds like she needs a detention tbh

Fimbo · 02/09/2009 20:14

Who in god's name is Courtney Skott?????

Those metallic sandals are like something an old biddy would wear to a tea dance.

CybilLiberty · 02/09/2009 20:18

Who takes those pictures of her???

ThingOne · 02/09/2009 20:19

I think the crucial thing as you get older is to wear what suits you and fits you in colours that suit you. It doesn't matter how cool or pretty it is, if it is the wrong colour for your skin. And make sure it fits!

Rumpel · 03/09/2009 11:13

Oh and very good underwear LOL!

EleanoraBuntingCupcake · 03/09/2009 11:20

loving courtney - the green dress is fabulous but the coat is migraine inducing.

madeupsurname · 03/09/2009 13:33

I love courtney - v v stylish. I wish I looked like that.

That blogger is a loon though - and cringe that Intel is sponsoring her "mighty life list"

madeupsurname · 03/09/2009 13:34

I mean, wtf?

OrmIrian · 03/09/2009 13:35

What is crappe? Is it crepe or is it crap? Or something in between?.

badbadbadparent · 03/09/2009 15:43

jeez I hadn't looked at the list

sure wish someone would sponsor my blog

PuppyMonkey · 03/09/2009 15:51

Gok is a knob and so is Courtney from what I've seen here.

Just go and shop in the White Stuff and save yourself a lot of bother.

badbadbadCappy · 03/09/2009 16:38

I do like White Stuff but sometimes it also irritates me

ScaredOfCows · 03/09/2009 18:04

Courtney Skott - what's the deal with her awful hair?

janeite · 03/09/2009 18:56

Nothing in White Stuff excites me in the slightest.

mckenzie · 03/09/2009 19:01

I've had two sessions now with a fashion advisor at John Lewis and am more confident now about what to wear to suit me and my shape than ever. It's a free service with no obligation but I have both times ended up buying quite a few pieces as I have felt so damn good in them .

Rumpel · 03/09/2009 19:14

Gok is lovely........

PuppyMonkey · 04/09/2009 08:05

Janeite - no naked men skirts in White Stuff, I admit!

janeite · 04/09/2009 17:37

Am v tempted to do a personal shopper thing (is the Debenhams one any good?) to try and sort out a couple of weekend outfits that are not jeans.

flier · 06/09/2009 14:20

I've emailed debenhams for an appointment for a personal shopper, hopefully for next week. This after bringing home 6 (!) outfits for a wedding I'm going to next week and not feeling happy in any of them - I need serious help and just hope that I get something perfect from Debenhams!
Wish me luck

flier · 07/09/2009 13:31

Well I git to see a personal shopper at my local debenhams this morning and it was really worth doing, I 100% recommend it.

Meglet · 07/09/2009 13:33

35 is not old

LovelyTinOfSpam · 07/09/2009 13:46
