So all of those are obviously going to the charity shop.

What do ginger girls wear?! Help!

Oh you lot have been so helpful!

I promise to get a pic up this morning. I'm trying to remember I've just had a baby... I'd quite like to go into town today!

Hooray Picante, pregnancy is over and you have a massive baby!!!! well done.

Well, on the hair front, I think I'd wing it for now and see what suits her. My boys are very different - ds1 looks great in dark blues, red, etc. (he has brown hair) while ds2 is very pale and blond and he looks lovely in pale blue, beigey colours, white or cream especially.

I think cream is brilliant with baby ginger hair. Beautiful. Not yellow, probably. At least not a pale yellow. Try everything, but ditch the pink anyway, it's boring

Nothing worse than that sickly baby pink and blue they make clothes in for babies. There are nicer types of course but some of it is just yuck.

She's gorgeous picante! And fwiw, she looks lovely in (what I can see) of her outfit. But have fun shopping for her. I have 3dds (not auburn though) and you can imagine how much pink there is in my house ...

tinseltot · 22/08/2009 09:28

What a lovely post and good on you for considering style and beauty so soon after the birth! Agreed that anyone who 'ffs' at a 1 day post natal lady should just fuck off.

My dd#3 was 9lb 13oz and i thought that she was huge. Your dd must be so squashy! I love them all squishy and cuddly and i also adore babies with lots of hair. i bet she looks like a beautiful little doll. I expext that she will look just gorgeous in anything she cares to wear but suspect she may look particularly beautiful in emerald green. Pumpkin patch have some lovely stuff in at the mo. Lots of oranges and peaches that might look just lovely with her hair.

Congrats again and if you want to post any pics then i will gladly admire!

tinseltot · 22/08/2009 09:29

Just seen pic and she is gorgeous! Lucky you!

Congratulations - the Pre Raphaelite look is very in at the moment! Se no reason not to use your pink stuff at the moment, But the red headed models the pre raphaelites chose looked wonderful in purples, violet and rich blue - have a look at "Ophelia" for inspiration.
