I cannot believe I am raving about Boden again but....

Just received my Mini Boden order and all the things are totally gorgeous!

I used to be a GapKids affectionado but I am seriously thinking about ditching them in aide of a shop that does offer online shopping in UK.

Infact, after the wonderful dress rave and now this one, I am worried that I am becoming a serial boden-addict.

That just doesn't make sense, I have used it a few times too, after each order it actually says at the top of the page "Spend another £30.00 to get £10.00 off" which I think is positive encouragement!

And have used them lots over the year so that's not why they refused it. Maybe it's because I placed 13 orders....

Actually, it would have to come from someone who has recently had multiple orders refused. My refusal was last season so a good 4 months old now.

Yes, maybe you should have spaced them out over a few days.
If it were me, I'd try again, but at a slower pace.

13 orders is eywatering isn't it? *Wow.

When I did it it was 3 orders. One was for me and one for each of a friend. But I was the one with a catalogue so each friend told me what they wanted adn I did 3 seperate orders, all in my name, in one evening. But nope, refused. They lumped the whole order into one. I felt obliged to share teh !10 off with my friends so we each had £3.33 off!!

[am still cross about this, can you tell )

It actually does say (verbatim) "Spend ANOTHER £30 for £10 off"! Of course someone is going to see that and try again (and again!).

I would hate to think the master plan is to get people to place loads of orders, consolidate them and send that email. Maybe they then hope it will go through before the person can cancel it. Might think that there is a small chance the customer will fall in love with everything and keep it all.

Nah, Boden doesn't need to resort to such nastiness.

No way, because most of us here would never buy from Boden without some sort of discount. I mean, who would at those prices?

They didn't consolidate my orders, just cancelled them. I've now just had to place a mahoosive order which DH is much more likely to notice on the credit card rather than lots of £40!!!

Still a bit about the telling-off e-mail!

Wow!! Didn't realise it was 13 orders, in that case, this might apply.....

This offer is available for personal orders only. Orders that are considered to be commercial may be excluded from the offer.

Perhaps they couldn't believe that this was purely for personal use!!

I quite like the girl's baby clothes (although too pricey for me to ever contemplate buying more than a couple of things now and then) and the boy's coats are nice, but otherwise I am so 'meh' about Boden.

The dresses in particular are just hideous beyond belief. The prints, the heavy fabric, the weird names. The fact that when they're not in the sale they cost almost as much as gorgeous brands like Ghost. Madness.

Oh, and I was perusing the Boden baby sale and saw this:

'Even the most well behaved and intellectually advanced of babies is guilty of splashing their breakfast with abandon. For that reason, we've included three equally fetching bibs in each of our sets, with towelling fronts for extra crumb catch.'

Oh my God, that is Boden all over.

I can't believe that they told you off for using the £10 off offer more than once! They are positively inviting people to reuse it. I succumbed and bought another outfit for DD. The child has a better wardrobe than I do.

Dwelled on this last night so have just sent this snotty e-mail; is it too much?

"In response to your e-mail I would just like to clarify that I was in no way attempting to 'abuse your generosity'. I assumed that the voucher code could only be used once but when I completed my order there was an on-screen message urging me to "Spend another £30 to get £10 off". This I did in all honesty, I also know of several other people that also used the voucher more than once. Whilst I fully appreciate your position and accept the cancellation of my orders without question, I would ask you to reconsider the tone of your e-mail. I have been a regular customer of Boden for 5 years and order a fair amount each season, it was unexpected to receive an e-mail with such an accusatory tone."

i think the trick is to not order everything at once space it out i ordered 2 sets of clothes and they have both been sent seperate phew!
