Jenny Powell - do any of you find that veiny muscly thick-necked look desirable?

Honastly, watch her in channel 5 at 1440 (Wordplay programme, on after home and away) and today she has her hair in a side pony tail. God, she looks horrendeous all thick veins.

She also has those awful muscles across her breastbone (they look like thick ridges) I mean PUKE.

I bet you're perfect

GracieGrace · 21/04/2009 15:37

honestly

Jewelsandgems · 21/04/2009 20:19

yes honestly! I have had so many people say the same thing to me today (about Jenny Powell)

She used to be so attractive, why all the muscles?

who's Jenny Powell?

you need to link, we can't judge properly without a pic

minko · 21/04/2009 20:29

She looks like an alien species these days - I can't look! I can't comprehend that she's the same pretty girl from the telly when I was young!

SuziSeis · 21/04/2009 20:30

i used to love Jenny - need a pic

FigmentOfYourImagination · 21/04/2009 20:31

She is vile. Whenever I see/hear her on telly or accidentally read an interview with her she is universally unlikeable and frankly, odd. Appalling presenter/tv personality too.

Jewelsandgems · 21/04/2009 20:31

All the pictures on google are when she was lovely looking....they don't have any of her new (alien) self [I know minko it looks nothing like her now!]

OP posts:
SuziSeis · 21/04/2009 20:33

she was always a shister presenter

wooden is an understatement

izyboy · 21/04/2009 20:35

I thought she had a well known battle with anorexia?????

yappybluedog · 21/04/2009 20:36

oh, remember her now, she's pretty
says on wicki that she is currently pregnant

namechangecosfeelingsad · 21/04/2009 20:38

Woah, harsh comments. If she is working out too much or something, it may possibly have been fuelled by personal comments about her appearance on a website somewhere.

Leave the poor lass alone, she's not hurting anyone with her muscley neck is she?

Jewelsandgems · 21/04/2009 20:41

Well she could be pregnant, but with all the veins and muscles going on, it is hard for me to notice she has a body beneath her shoulders!

And yes, I heard that too abou. Well she certainly hasn't an eating disorder anymore, looks like her new fixation is bodybuilding.

Why would women do that to themselves? [not get pregnant, the over the top muscle thinkg]

When I was a teen, people used to say I looked like her

I wish I did now, big veiny neck or not

Like Suzy, I like her.

minko · 21/04/2009 20:52

Those channel 5 quiz games that appear after Home and Away are dreadful. Poor Jenny Falconer presents it sometimes too (how she has fallen poor girl) and also looks a bit rough, maybe the lighting is a bit harsh in that studio!

Also i always get the impression the producer is shouting through their earpiece, 'sound more excited, more, more!', as they gurn with delight.

Jewelsandgems · 21/04/2009 20:59

You are prob right minko. And yes about Jenny Faulkner, aparently we was pissed off that she was not offered Fiona Phillips job on GMTV.

OP posts:
SuziSeis · 21/04/2009 21:41

lizzylou she was every school boys fantasy in her day!

Amandoh · 21/04/2009 21:46

I remember her being so pretty but I haven't seen the Channel 5 programme so can't comment on how she looks now. I don't personally think the "I've doused myself in Cuprinol now give me a truck to lift" look is attractive but some muscle definition looks healthy.

Bulging neck veins can sometimes be a symtom of an underlying health problem so unless she's beefed up all over she may not be in tip top health.

noddyholder · 21/04/2009 21:51

Really unkind and harsh to use the word puke when talking about another woman.

Jewelsandgems · 21/04/2009 21:56

God that picture is horrendous amandoh.

I think she is beefed up all over. And I know a little muscle defination is healthy, I do yoga and pilates so I am for that. But it is when that goes a step too far IYKWIM.

You see the thing is, it doesn't even look like her at all anymore. Even her face...

This is recent - she looks normal to me

Winetimeisfinetime · 21/04/2009 22:09

I have met Jenny Powell in real life { appeared on a TV show with her } and once the cameras stopped rolling she wasn't very nice.

noddyholder · 21/04/2009 22:10

She looks fine

FigmentOfYourImagination · 21/04/2009 22:15

Actually I recall her being painfully thin, lollipop like, 2yrs ago ish. That picture of her in the (deeply unflattering) bikini certainly looks like she has a more healthy bodyshape nowadays.

Lizzylou · 21/04/2009 22:31

I definitely look nothing like her now!
She looks lovely in that picture. Haven't seen her on daytime TV tbh
It was when she had a curly bob and was in some music programme, I had a curly bob at the time as well (pre straighteners). We have different colouring, but a similar nose (hers is far less piggy than mine)
I have to admit I used to be deeply flattered at the time
