really don't like it, sorry! i don't think it would be very flattering.

mileniwmffalcon · 05/04/2009 20:42

noooo!

muddleduck · 05/04/2009 20:43

I agree that this is not likely to be flattering. Best left on the hanger imo.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 05/04/2009 20:43

Im not that keen either. Id go for the dark blue if it had to be that dress.

Im same size and height as you. Maybe something like this or this

ChairmumMiaow · 05/04/2009 20:54

What shape are you?

I really like these:

If you're worried about arms, there are loads of little shrugs around at the moment.

LibrasJusticeLeagueofBiscuits · 05/04/2009 20:56

No. Just No.

ChairmumMiaow · 05/04/2009 20:57

this,

this or

this

BeauticianNotMagician · 05/04/2009 20:58

I told you i havent been out in ages and it obviously shows. How i long for the days when i could just buy something without trying it on.

BoysAreLikeDogs i dont mind how much i spend as long as i look good dont want to go too mad though as i am ateending weight watchers and losing weight quite fast.

SandyChick dont like the first dress sorry and tried the warehouse one on today its really unflattering.

beanieb · 05/04/2009 21:02

What's your style like? A lot of the dresses linked to above are a bit formal and mumsy IMO

BeauticianNotMagician · 05/04/2009 21:08

beanieb style whats that?Im only 28 so not too mumsy.

Heated · 05/04/2009 21:24

Avoid that dress!!
I've seen similar in Oasis and it reminded me why the 1980s was the decade fashion forgot...or was that the 70s?

Now on the other hand, if you are quite tanned and have good legs, this dress would be sexy

love this

this if you have great norks, and just look at those shoes that go with it!

KingRolo · 05/04/2009 21:27

No, no, no!

Heated · 05/04/2009 21:27

last link might not have worked so trying again

oregonianabroad · 05/04/2009 21:28

no.

SandyChick · 05/04/2009 21:33

Clure · 05/04/2009 21:34

How about this? Quite structured, not too fussy but shows a little shoulder? With some fab high shoes/sandals

Clure · 05/04/2009 21:36

OOh sandychick am liking your first suggestion!

BeauticianNotMagician · 05/04/2009 21:37

Heated like the second one.

I have a lovely structured shirt dress from warehouse that gives me a lovely teeny waist but thought might not be dressy enough

www.warehouse.co.uk/fcp/product/fashion/Dresses/structured-shirt-dress/10957

quite like this
www.warehouse.co.uk/fcp/product/fashion/Dresses/obi-dress/11755

Gosh im rubbish.

OP posts:
Clure · 05/04/2009 21:39

The obi dress is more dressy - would give good waistline I think

Heated · 05/04/2009 21:42

I really like your first dress - it is a very formal school reunion then? If so then it might be too casual, but it is lovely.

Not so keen on the second dress you've linked only because imo the shiny waist will draw attention to an area you want to minimise.

BeauticianNotMagician · 05/04/2009 21:43

SandyChick i like your first suggestion too and most of the others.

I think im just feeling really down at the moment as i have done well on my diet losing two stone but wish it was more and am still not at all confident with my body.
