JustCallMeGoat · 04/03/2009 14:00

I like it (the red is ghastly though).

Can you also email Mulberry and tell them I decline to pay £395 for a handbag - thank you.

JustCallMeGoat · 04/03/2009 14:02

but fimbo it is an 'investment piece'.

It's ok, but def not worth £100. I notice they are calling it a 'piece', as in the tucky-in bit is the focus of the 'piece'. IMO calling a £100 skirt a 'piece' is a bit poncey of them.

Mulberry handbag on the other hand, more justified (and true) to refer to as a piece.

When you write, tell them that the hike in their prices over the last 2 seasons is outrageous!
Also tell them that their clothes are now, overall, dull. They have lost that quirky bohemian feel and are all shapeless.

I used to think I could blow £1K in Jigsaw in a few minutes- now I just come out feeling depressed- at the clothes and the fact that anything I DO like is a crazy price.

traceybath · 04/03/2009 18:42

i had an amusing experience last week in jigsaw. Tried on a pretty necklace for £19 and took it to the till - lady cashed up and then asked for £119 at which point i shrieked - how much!!!

I'd read the tag wrong but honestly it was worth £19 at a push but certainly no more. Needless to say it went back on the shelf.

SoupDragon · 04/03/2009 18:44

It's ugly. Expensive and ugly.

ahundredtimes · 04/03/2009 18:53

Look at that, they've finally sorted their website out, it used to be far-away models sitting under gypsy caravans and you couldn't see anything.

I like the skirt. Buy it, it'll be a skirt you'll wear all the time and wonder what you wore to work before you had it.

Tinker · 04/03/2009 18:58

£239.00 for this one! What am I missing? It's horrible

MadBadandDangerousToKnow · 04/03/2009 19:02

Oh, I do like it when fashion writers call an item of clothing a piece. Ditto calling a pair of trousers a trouser and a t shirt a tee.

Ronaldinhio · 04/03/2009 19:12

save your cash on something nicer

I do not understand how an item of clothing can possibly be worth £100, or even £50. I really really don't.

noddyholder · 04/03/2009 19:14

I love it and would prob pay if I had the cash

PuppyMonkey · 04/03/2009 19:16

That is a blardy horrible skirt, even if it was £20. Grey grey grey. Yuck. Why is there so much grey in shops these days? No-one looks good in it.

If you want formal, get a black suit.

MmeLindt · 04/03/2009 19:19

Tinker
You have to look at the matching top to that orange skirt to get the full horrible-ness of the piece

Looks like something Auntie Mabel would not wear

ahundredtimes · 04/03/2009 19:21

It's not grey, it looks grey in the photo, but if you look up close it's a sort of black and white cross-hatching effect.

It's a cross-hatched piece with a feature detail. Worth every penny.

Tinker · 04/03/2009 19:21

I saw that Mme Lindt but thought it'd be too traumatic to post. Especially the view from the back

Tinker · 04/03/2009 19:23

What the hell. The whole outfit for just under half a thousand pounds

MmeLindt · 04/03/2009 19:24

Tinker,
True, very good of you. We do have pregnant and breastfeeding women on this site.

PuppyMonkey · 04/03/2009 19:24

Cross hatched me arse! It's GREY!
