Hi Christiana - do you not need to use any other moisturiser then? And do you use this method every evening??

Thanks!

Pawslikepaddington · 29/01/2009 14:11

Oh I did and it is looovely! Washed my face with just a facecloth this morning like it said, and my skin still looks all dewy! Am steaming my face over a bowl of water and wiping though, as our taps are only scalding or cold, so I can't put the flannel under running water IYSWIM. REALLY good though!

Where can you buy castor oil? We looked in boots, superdrug and a health food shop yestersday to no avail!

barbarapym · 01/02/2009 15:25

a local chemists will probably have it if you ask. I'm going to try mine later!

hotCheeseBURNS · 01/02/2009 15:32

Wouldn't it be out on the shelf? We did ask in boots in brighton and they said they don't stock it.

I'm going to try this with DS2 - he has terrible blackheads but using special acne products just leaves him with really dry skin and lots of flareups - will report back.

cedar12 · 01/02/2009 18:31

I have been using olive oil like this and its pretty good to. My skin is the best its been in ages. Also another tip is taking a good quality fish oil at least two tablets a day I started off with 4, Its on special offer at the moment in holland and barretts.

I found mine in the health food shop, but it was £15! . Am noticing less blackheads and smaller pores I think-does it take about 10 days to really notice a change? Can't believe how good my skin feels though-SO smooth!

, I got some pukka organic super dooper stuff. Also got fleeced on the children's chewable vitamins-another £15 and they smell so gross dd won't take them- health food shop. Am starting to love my skin though!

NilDesperandum · 01/02/2009 20:19

using bio oil is also good i found out by accident

Pawslikepaddington · 01/02/2009 20:22

How did you get bio oil on your face?

NilDesperandum · 01/02/2009 20:24

absently put it onto hands to rub into stretchmarks, forgot what was doing and rubbed it on face instead ! was actually really good, doesn't leave greasy trace and skin feels lush in the morning! probably use it 2-3 times a week instead of regular moisturiser, though will be off to hunt for castor oil tomorrow!

Well dp has been using the oil cleansing method for a week and a half and says its the most effective treatment he's tried, better than all the different pills and lotions that he's had prescribed over the last three years!

His skin is much clearer with a more even tone - fewer red patches and no new spots!

I use bio oil on my face as a night moisturiser, and my skin is also MUCH better than before - smmother, fewer tiny pimples, and more relaxed. Am loving it, but I never thought to CLEAN with oils... hmm will try. thansk for the tips!

Miyazaki · 13/02/2009 12:38

Anything with a flannel/muslin is great. I am waiting for a spot so I can try the aspirin mask they love on make up alley...
