How to get your hair really soft, shiny and slippery but with lots of body as opposed to a bit like wire wool.

Is this achievable or it it an impossible hair marketing dream?

Am open to any ideas, home remedies or products, be they cheap & cheerful or not too much more expensive.

My hair used to feel soft and silky whenever I left it to dry naturally, but of late it feels 'textured'/sort of rough, unless I straighten it which I don't want to do as it wrecks it! Also I don't want it entirely straight. I have hair with a natural wave which is prone to frizz. I know FrizzEase is popular but I can't seem to get on with it very well, it makes my hair lank and too oily with loads of 'build up'. I just want to be able to leave my hair to do its thing and curl but not 'fuzz up'.

The sort of look I am aiming for is what I call the 'Nigella', which (in her case is no doubt achieved after several hours of styling) looks natural.

I have hair like yours and although I never get the nigella look without lots of preening I use Tigi small talk, its in a purple round bottle with a green top. I put it on wet hair and let it dry naturally in the evening and in the morning there is no frizz, its the best thing I've used in a looong time and I've tried so many!

One of my friends buys a bottle of the same kind of conditioner that you get with home colouring kits. Don't know what it's called, but she bought it from Super Drug.

I only wash my hair once a week, so the little sachet lasts me from the time I colour until I have to re colour IYSWIM

Best conditioner I've ever used onmy wild wild hair is S Factor Serious Conditioner, you can get it online for about £14. Google it. It is the business. You leave it on for three minutes and your hair looks amazing afterwards! Much better than all those Aussie and Frizzease things imho.

I have very long, coloured hair which frizzes and waves. I use jojoba and avocado oil (which I buy separatly on ebay) apply liberally and leave for as long as possible under a towel wrap, then shampoo out, then apply teeny amount of oil again and rinse.

Leaves your hair amazingly soft, scalp moisturised (add tea tree, lavender and rosemary essential oils if dry/flaky scalp), and no frizzing.

You can just do the tiny amount of oil as an everyday conditioner
