If the rule is not "no jeans" but "no denim" I can't see how you can object, tbh.

SeymourButz · 20/01/2009 15:32

I dont know if there IS a rule.

pagwatch · 20/01/2009 15:36

perhaps he/she thought your arse looked big in it .

Ummm - why don't you ask him/her?

SeymourButz · 20/01/2009 15:38

i darent give her the moment to debag me. she will say "Seymour - NO DENIM"

If is scuttle past fast she wont manage to nab my lithe and tight arse.

Hmm. It depends entirely what line of work you are in I think. I certainly couldn't have worn a denim skirt, no matter how dressed up (and they can look very smart indeed). Bet you looked fab anyway.

SeymourButz · 20/01/2009 15:44

i love mrs sb.
I did look very smart cas wihtout a doubt.
I work in a school.

mrsseanbean · 20/01/2009 15:46

Borderline, Seymour, borderline.

Can you cover it up with a mortar-board and gown next time?

CandleQueen · 20/01/2009 15:48

I wear a denim skirt to school - I'm a teacher.
Only weare jeans if going out for a farm visit, or when I was heavily PG and only mat jeans would fit.

VampiresWalkin · 20/01/2009 15:51

Hmmm, I would go with no denim skirts for school work tbh

CandleQueen · 20/01/2009 16:01

Straight plain & sensible though...
Mine is quite smart, smarter than the corded skirts another teacher wears.

stillstanding · 20/01/2009 16:04

Denim is denim alas. Skirt smarter than jeans but (somehow) less smart than cords. Sure you looked v foxy tho, SB!

Fimbo · 20/01/2009 16:06

Kind of depends on the denim skirt imo. Those very pale numbers with raggy edges or

LaDiDaDi · 20/01/2009 16:08

This all sounds a bit fishy to me?

mrsseanbean · 20/01/2009 16:10

Yes Fimbo - stonewash is never a good look for anyone IMO, especially not when teamed with a matching jacket!

Fimbo · 20/01/2009 16:15

Urgh at matching jacket. This is FC but just wrong

Fimbo · 20/01/2009 16:16

this in the dark denim looks nice

choosyfloosy · 20/01/2009 16:17

Mm. 'No denim - except this skirt' doesn't really cut it for me, especially if the pupils can't wear denim either. Otherwise you'd be into endless arguments about 'these are really smart jeans miss, honest'.

Fimbo · 20/01/2009 16:17

Ladidadi, I get what you mean (thinking likewise tbh)

VampiresWalkin · 20/01/2009 16:18

Orrible, but then I often have no taste

mrsseanbean · 20/01/2009 16:18

I love that dark Boden one, am waiting for JHohnnie to get desperate (hopefully won't take long if he reads some threads here!) and send a 20% code.

VampiresWalkin · 20/01/2009 16:19

Comments like that aren't all that helpful at times

Ledodgy · 20/01/2009 16:20

Were you wearing it with your knee high boots?

VampiresWalkin · 20/01/2009 16:20

(Ladidah's, not my orrible one )
