I mean there's a limit to how many floral oilcloth items one needs in one's house surely.

And the clothes!
Dear God, if you saw this in a pound shop you'd think they were pushing it.

You go to park in north London in summer and there's a sea of Kidston tents, accessories etc. 'Tis the uniform.

docket · 24/11/2008 16:40

Hideous. Utterly hideous.

moondog · 24/11/2008 16:41

I lkied it.

I went off CK years ago, when I discovered my sister was buying it in Bromley - I ask you!

VivaLaPotPourri · 24/11/2008 16:42

@ ho ho ho

TotalChaos · 24/11/2008 16:42

they should stick to bags and tea towels. those tops are rather odd...

SoupDragon · 24/11/2008 16:43

Some of it's nice. I think it goes OTT when you have tents etc made of the stuff and clothes seems a step too far. Emma Bridgewater is in danger of going the same way what with the tea towels and stationery that have been added to the range.

SoupDragon · 24/11/2008 16:44

Not sure I'd wear a T shirt with "Ho" on the front

MaryAnnSingleton · 24/11/2008 16:45

I always say to myself ' Cath Kidston, you're having a laugh...'

TheCrackFox · 24/11/2008 16:46

I have a feeling that the credit crunch will hit Cath Kitson particularly hard. All those "yummy mummies" have to come to their senses eventually.

moondog · 24/11/2008 16:46

In Cockernee accent MAS??

natch, moondog,I forgot to drop my 'h' there

MaryAnnSingleton · 24/11/2008 16:48

she should call her shops 'I saw you coming....'

Flightattendant4 · 24/11/2008 16:49

I like the cross hatch blouse...or maybe I don't. It has a sort of - I don't know, something 'evil' about it. No?

moondog · 24/11/2008 16:49

Nothing beats the Aspen & Summat rusty bucket (really!) Advent calendar that someone linked to yesterday.

Could hardly breathe for laughing.

Hmm,FA, reminiscent of garments worn by back street abortionists in Newcastle circa 1961 perhaps?

Flightattendant4 · 24/11/2008 16:53

Ah yes that'll be why, Moondog - fond memories of Uncle Maureen Mervyn, who had the cobblers on the corner...

hippipotami · 24/11/2008 16:55

Urgh, Flight, was just thinking the cross hatch blouse was particularly vile

Quite like the stripy tank top thingy, but that is not overly Kidstony is it??

pooka · 24/11/2008 16:55

PMSL at Katch.

And what is wrong with being able to buy CK in Bromley?

Agree that CK generally overpriced and just overdone now. Boring.

Flightattendant4 · 24/11/2008 16:56

i do like the cross hatch dress, more style thn pattern tho can anyone find me something similar but, well, nice?

reindeer t shirt quite cheerful/embarrassing.

moondog · 24/11/2008 16:57

rofl at 'similar but nice'

Aye,I get that.

Dh refused point blank to go in the shop in York.

Katisha · 24/11/2008 17:11

Crikey!

ilovejonty · 24/11/2008 17:15

Cath Kidston clothes are a bit dodgy I grant you. I still like the home items though. I Ebay for most of them - new but half the shop price
