I mean there's a limit to how many floral oilcloth items one needs in one's house surely.

And the clothes!
Dear God, if you saw this in a pound shop you'd think they were pushing it.

I wonder if she really exists. Or is she like Aunt Bessie and Sarah Lee?

MaryAnnSingleton · 24/11/2008 17:23

oh she is real - I've seen her interviewed

cremolafoam · 24/11/2008 17:34

yes but atisha - What else are going to wear the children's school Fete?

I admit I was in one of her shops yesterday. It was packed with wimmin fingering the polkadot candles and turning everything over to check the prices! I swear no-one was buying much more than a 'stanley' keyring. i got the distinct impression the bell hath tolled for her.

SoupDragon · 24/11/2008 17:40

That cross hatch dress is FOUL!

cremolafoam · 24/11/2008 17:42

look this is her in the flesh

TsarChasm · 24/11/2008 18:03

So the idea is that if you cover any mundane thing in flowers and dots it becomes twee lovely? How annoying is this person?

Bumperlicious · 24/11/2008 18:24

£38 for a frigging vest?!!!!

MmeLindt · 24/11/2008 18:25

I actually quite like the tank tops, but the blouses are horrible

Waltzywotzy · 24/11/2008 18:30

It is a shame there is no blog to that site. I think we could all add something meaningful and insightful as to what we desire to have flowers printed on or not, as the case might be for many. BUT someone's buying it or else it wouldn't be there. But the clothes are one step too far IMHO.

And to have a section called "Comfy Wear" is a total put off.

milge · 24/11/2008 18:34

I have this from CK: here and it is fab. Clothes are a step too far, although the gazebo from earlier this year was quite entertaining.

ilovemydog · 24/11/2008 18:34

well, she did the bags for Tescos, so just a matter of time until there is an accessories line...

Who pays £18.00 for kids pjs anyway?

samsonara · 24/11/2008 23:17

I read the interview with her in the tesco magazine a while back and they had in fact approached her as the wanted to use her designs on their green recycled bottle bags and neither CK or Tesco are getting any of the profits and for every £3.50 paid for the bag Marie Curie get 50p, and they will donate a minimum of £250,000. So I think that was a good use of her designs. I love the red Christmasy one which I bought today. As for putting her designs on tents and mobile phones, well smart lady, it was only a matter of time before some other designer did it.

pity the men who live with such chintz...

I only like the cowboy print sleeping bags. Those clothes are awful. Really crappy.

Spidermama · 25/11/2008 22:58

Who on God's earth is designing the clothes for CK? They have no redeeming features whatsoever.

RustyBear · 25/11/2008 23:00

"Our new 'Comfy Wear' range is great for just throwing up on."

cheesesarnie · 25/11/2008 23:04

rofl.its fancy dress surely?

EarthwormFrittataBugEnchilada · 25/11/2008 23:08

I like the floral blouse in the middle

puff · 28/11/2008 01:06

It's cheap looking tat IMO

akhems · 28/11/2008 07:35

does ck design the prints cos I'm sure my mum has a blouse in this fabric that's about 20 odd years old.. I'm going to have a look next time I go to her house!

EarthwormFrittataBugEnchilada · 28/11/2008 14:49

That looks quite similar to a popular Liberty print from a while back, it could be that? I think she does design her own fabrics. In the flesh that blouse doesn't look like cheap tat as the fabric and finish are really good. Taste is another matter I guess.

Oh dear, that blue dress is like something Elsie Tanner wore in Corrie circa 1972. Or Polly James on The Liver Birds...
