LOL thomcat and COD. like the modesty!

ok, well obviously I've not seen you both so can't comment but I just don't like them. fashion error IMO

Agree with Pruni,

it's not the 3/4 length sleeves that irritate me but the current designer thing of ending them all at, or just below the waist. Annoys the hell out of me. FFS we're not all 18 with toned and tanned midriffs.

motherinferior · 14/03/2005 19:40

Love 3/4 sleeves - remember in the 80s buying elsticated springy things to hold them up!
3/4 trousers are very very wrong IMO.

ThomCat · 14/03/2005 21:37

I cannot believe how many of you don't like 3/4 trousers, I give up with the lot of you.
So come on, in summer apart from skirt what are you wearing? I'm disturbed at the general disrespect for the trendy 3/4 length combat or similar trouser and I need to know what your summer wardrobe consists of, in fact I'm starting a new thread all about it!

mummytosteven · 14/03/2005 21:38

3/4 length sleeves are great on tops/blouses - avoids the cuffs in the jam/dirty nappy scenario

not keen on 3/4 length trousers - don't have the legs for it

albosmum · 14/03/2005 21:44

Sorry this is off the point but I hate men in 3/4 length tousers and sandals

turquoise · 14/03/2005 21:50

Oh I quite agree, men should never wear sandals at all. Horrid hairy feet should never see the light of day.

linnet · 14/03/2005 21:51

I love 3/4 length sleeves. Long enough to keep me warm but not so long that I get too hot. I try to buy tops for work that have 3/4 length sleeves that way I don't spend all my time pushing up my sleeves and making them all baggy.

3/4 length trousers I'm not sure about. I'm small so it's hard to find trousers that fit properly.

HUNKERMUNKER · 14/03/2005 21:53

Cod, totally totally agree with you. There's nothing more annoying than chilly wrists.

Well, there probably is...bat pictures in innocent links, maybe?

I like 3/4 length sleeves - saves them from going soggy in the washing up. But I can't wear 3/4 length trousers - have very short legs so they would probably come almost down to my ankles!

suzywong · 15/03/2005 08:30

I LOVE them, for the previous reason too

bundle · 15/03/2005 11:43

don't do washing up. but do love 3/4 length sleeves in fact i have a 3/4 length sleeve cardi on today (bright orangey red) and swishy black jersey skirt with side tie. moderately trendy (for me) for a change

HUNKERMUNKER · 15/03/2005 11:46

Thought you'd like that, Cod

pabla · 15/03/2005 11:48

Hate them too and what about those jackets with short sleeves? What's the point of those???

bundle · 15/03/2005 11:51

do you mean like this? i think it's v stylish, v jackie-o

Peckarollover · 15/03/2005 11:52

i just posted to this and it didnt work?

Bozza · 15/03/2005 12:00

Don't mind them apart from at work. Draught from dodgy a/c unit means I have goose bumps on my wrists. Unfortunately have lots so end up wearing my jacket most of the time.
