I seem to have developed under-eye bags. Is there a good cream out there that will depuff them of a morning?

Have you tried the traditional cold teabag/slices of cucumber? I've heard hemmoroid cream is good if you need them temporarily tightened, but that would probably be bad for regular use.

I've been using this for about a fortnight and it's reduced my eye wrinkles and made the skin more supple. I don't have bags under my eyes particularly, but this is very slippery oil so it would allow you to gently massage your under-eyes without pulling at the skin which might help the fluid to disperse. Warning - it smells of old potpourri.

Bridie3 · 07/10/2008 10:53

Sleep makes no difference if the bags are caused by lymphatic blockages or allergies.

I can sleep for eight hours and still look baggy.

I have tried the pile cream and it seemed to work a bit. The best remedy for me is very good under-eye makeup. Not Touche Eclat, which makes bags look worse.

If you do buy the eye oil from that site, I strongly recommend the Mandarin body butter too. My skin is soft as a baby's, DH kept stroking it in bed (sorry, TMI). It's much, much better than the Body Shop stuff.

jumpingbeans · 07/10/2008 12:03

Has anyone tried the roll on one being advertised, if so how much is it?

DomesticBlobess · 07/10/2008 12:37

Hi Bran - I'm a fan of akamuti not tried the eye oil. Does it absorb in well enough to put make up on soon after, or is it just for night use?

Currently using the eye cream from Trevarno which is good but also quite rich so only use it at night - looking for something that will work and is suitable for the morning too.

bran · 07/10/2008 13:18

No, I don't think it would be great under make up. I have very dry skin and it takes quite a while to absorb on me. I do put a little on first thing in the morning, and I'm ok to go out for the school run, but I don't wear make up for that.

What other Akamuti stuff do you use? I'm currently trying the sweet orange cleansing cream because it was recommended on here as similar to Liz Earle. I think I still slightly prefer Liz Earle, but the Akamuti cleanser might be a little better for winter because it's more moisturising and soothing. I don't wear make up much but when I do I will definitely use Liz Earle to remove it in preference to the Akamuti.

I'm also trying the orange blossom toner which I'm impressed with, and of course the mandarin body butter which is amazing stuff. I bought some liquid black soap, but I haven't tried it yet.

I have bought this Garnier eye roll-on today as I was seduced by the advert on TV. Will see what it is like...

bran · 07/10/2008 14:51

DB, I just applied a single layer of the eye oil to see how long it takes to soak in. I reckon that I could apply make up after 20-25 mins, but as I say I have very dry skin it could take longer for you.

I'd be interested to hear how you get on with the Garnier roll-on dexter, although I'm usually sensitive to Garnier stuff so it probably wouldn't be for me.
