Casual dresses for winter (possibly sweater dress?)

2point4kids · 25/09/2008 20:07

I just bought some fabulous boots for winter (flat, mid calf, ruched) to wear over skinny jeans and with black tights and dresses in the day.

Now I just need to find a dress or two to go with them!

Needs to be very casual for me to feel comfortable wearing it in the day time. I dont really do smart.

I like the sweater dresses and jersery ones too.

Have looked in a couple of shops so far and a couple of online sites but havent found anything quite right!

Any ideas?

I love dresses but am at a loss this season to find one that flatters a wobbly tummy NOT suggesting you have a similar figure.!!

I do like the spot dress on the fat face link, thank you!

Off to try and get the white stuff website to work now!

I never would have thought of those places myself, so I am pleased I posted, thanks!

I just ordered this which I'm quite hopeful about. You can find it by going to www.gudrunsjoden.com/butikhy/default.asp?sidvarde=gb and looking under Autumn 2008 -> blouses and waistcoats.

fishie · 26/09/2008 22:03

i got that stripy white stuff one and sent it back, it is very wide.

what shape are you 2p4? uniqlo have some.

sammysam · 26/09/2008 22:17

2point4kids-can I ask where you got your boots from-they sound lovely!!

bundle · 26/09/2008 22:33

some nice ones in Cos

2point4kids · 27/09/2008 08:45

sannysam - my boots are from Next! I will try and find a link for you.

fishie - the uniqlo ones look great, I'll have a browse in a minute!
I am fairly small (short and slim) with big boobs. Perhaps the white stuff one I ordered will have to go back too then!

They are not actually as long as it looks in the pic, I think they slouch a little bit more in real life!

mellyonion · 28/09/2008 10:28

i have loads from there...i've found it to be really lovey quality, washes well...no grumbles from here with it!

Pendulum · 28/09/2008 10:52

Am watching with interest- one problem I often have with winter dresses is that they stick to tights when I wear them. Had to buy a hideous petticoat last year. The fatface dresses don't look lined- are there any other solutions to this?

NotCod · 28/09/2008 11:56

do they do anti cling tights?

NotCod · 28/09/2008 11:56

o r i once readosmehitng baout spraying fabric wiht somethign to reduce cling
