Casual dresses for winter (possibly sweater dress?)

I just bought some fabulous boots for winter (flat, mid calf, ruched) to wear over skinny jeans and with black tights and dresses in the day.

Now I just need to find a dress or two to go with them!

Needs to be very casual for me to feel comfortable wearing it in the day time. I dont really do smart.

I like the sweater dresses and jersery ones too.

Have looked in a couple of shops so far and a couple of online sites but havent found anything quite right!

Any ideas?

Anti static clothes spray

Marking this thread as have been looking for jumper dresses this month! Bid on one from eBay but missed out by a couple of quid

tsap I find it very useful for feeling dressed up casual iyswim. It's dry clean only though (supposedly)

Anti-static tights - put fab con on your hands and run them over your tights apparently. Never tried it. I tend to wear a useful slip under anything I'm worried about (not the Betty Jackson dress/cardi). Just watch for length.

SueW- think your "useful slip" is what I described as a "hideous petticoat"

but I agree, v useful and seemingly unavoidable

might try to fab con trick. I love knit dresses (boden have a good one atm) but never buy because of the tights thing.

Nah - hideous petticoats have scratchy lace on

Useful slips are just a substitute for lining - most high street clothes these days being too cheaply made to be lined.
