Since my CS 5 months ago I have shrunk to a size 8-10 which is all well and dandy BUT I still have the post CS pot belly and also cant wear any of my trousers which all have waistbands that sit JUST on the scar.
I couldnt care less about style really but I want something warm and COMFORTABLE and cotton to wear.

Help me - I am THIS close to buying fleece trousers fgs!

If you don't like your legs, get some fairly flat chunky boots to balance you out.

Cappuccino · 06/09/2008 14:47

for work I like dresses, wrap dresses, or short dresses over trousers or jeans. I do like to be comfy, and my stomach is not fab so I don't like things to dig in.

I did have a c-section scar, back in the dim and distant past (dd1 is nearly 8) and I seem to remember wearing flat front trousers from Next, and some horrid stretchy pants from Matalan that I ceremonially burnt. Well I should have done.

today I am dressed as if doing yoga - I have done some this morning, in my defence - in a puma wrap top and tracksuit bottoms with wide legs, but I wouldn't normally go out in these trackies as they are v old

if I buy anything now it's a dress tbh

Dresses/tunics over leggings is comfortable, smart and relatively cheap too.

I shudder when I think how much I spent in the past on tailored suits and shirts for work. I don't think they looked any smarter or more professional than a dress and God were they expensive and uncomfortable (and they had to go to the dry cleaners).

Habbibu · 06/09/2008 14:55

I want to see the dresses and tunics, please. I like the cut of this thread's job.

MadameOvary · 06/09/2008 14:59

Ooh took so long so write that last post that I missed maidamess and I liketomoveit. Sorry! I did actually flirt with a long linen top over linen trousers when weather was hot, and liked it. I hadnt thought of high waisted jeans as I dont have a long midriff and think they make me look stumpy.

Bit gutted that I cant wear my low waisters as they are so flattering and "elongate" me.

Have very few dresses but wouldnt rule it out - I think my body is just about settling down now but my boobs were so big at first - 36G! Down to 34DD now tho.

any of these

actually White Stuff have some comfy looking trousers and are always good for tunics

I really like their things

Habbibu · 06/09/2008 15:07

I have a few white stuff dresses, but they're knee length on me - not sure about leggings with them. Hmm.

MadameOvary · 06/09/2008 15:14

I like White Stuff - my yoga trousers are from there. Knee length dresses always too long for me sadly.
God I'm fussy aren't I?

MadameOvary · 06/09/2008 15:35

Yes kaftans are an idea

Cod, I think I love you. am browsing this very second.

Pannacotta · 06/09/2008 16:41

Great tunic from W Stuff but its hand wash only...
Think the leggings/long top combo sounds good. Have you looked at petite ranges MmeOvary?

Bumperlicious · 06/09/2008 16:47

God, I have never been in White Stuff before, as it I never thought it was my thing but they have some gorgeous stuff! Bit pricey though. Not much on ebay either. Will keep looking though....

Bumperlicious · 06/09/2008 16:54

Love this dress and I want to wear it with magenta tights - now!

MadameOvary · 06/09/2008 17:05

Pannacotta yes I have looked at a few petite ranges, have just started to get the hang of shopping with a pushchair, would rather get a day out than order online and find it didnt fit.

Ta for ebay tip Cod - will check now.

Yes bump, the coloured tights in the White Stuff book were great, really clashy but looked cool.
