Will have to scroll through lovely pics of ds etc to get to it tho. Runs and hides under bed, never to venture on to mumsnet again.

Oh and I hate my chins, my round face, my massive bloody jelly belly, that horrible fat bit at the top of my thighs, and my big manly legs. In fact my big, manly bloody body (apart from huge bloody norks)!!!!!

please don't wear oversize knitwear it will make your top half look bigger. i bet you are two diff sizes top and bottom as well.

i am very fond of a v-neck merino jumper which isn't too fitted with a knee length skirt, boots and tights.

i say dont just order bras go to john lewis or debenhams and get properly measured as you may be buying the totally wrong back size which is what it appears to be.
you have fabulous legs, a lovely face and gorgeous hair.
perhaps a pair of spanks pants to pull you in at the waist or wide waisted tops with elasticated belts to draw you in and give you a lovely curved shape would be best and you need wide legged tailored trousers to balance out your lower half as it is narrower than your bust. this will also give you the illusion of a curved waist dont be so hard on yourself you are a beautiful woman with alot of courage to post a pic of yourself on here

dear apple colleague sexbomb, NO to wide legged trousers.

i have spent the last 18mish discovering what really suits me and what is a disaster. one to beware is empire top with sleeves which end at the same height as the waist bit. looks like pint glass.

what size are you? i am 16 top 14 bottom so the likes of esprit are available - they are expensive but have sales and are very apple friendly.

Hey - well done! Get yourself to Bravissimo if you have one nearby - they're brilliant and will work wonders with your norks! You have a very similar body shape to me - I tend to like bootcut dark jeans with boots and long-ish v neck tops or cross over type things - to show off the norkage!

fishie i may have to take a photo of myself (a fellow apple shape) in my wide legged trousers as i always thought they looked nice il try to find batteries for my camera so you can tell me yes or no as i may be hopeless

You are so so brave Excellent excellent legs. And Arms and Boobs, so you need somethign to make it look as if you also have a fab waist too. (dont ask me, real life hairy chick)
When looking for bras try Triumphs Doreen. They are excellent, bhs does them I know.

thanks everybody, have ordered a spanx hold me in at the middle thingy, and will be getting myself properly measured soon. Was very very scared (hence the big gin and tonic) but you have all made me feel normal. Cheers. Now know that i'm not the fat ugly mantroll i felt like for the past 2 and half years.

Definitely agree with the Spanx and really really well fitted bra but other than that, you are fab!

Classic apple shape and good on you for posting pics...
Check out T & Susannahs advice and their body shape book (and Gok's book too).
You have good arms and legs so wear skirts and low neck tops - long jackets also suggested.
Corsets or drapey tops are good (they create or hide the waist).
And get some decent shoes/wedges to show off your pins!
