I would like a pottering around the house outfit that isn't sportswear. What do you wear to potter?

For the days when you don't plan to leave the house or see anyone, but you have stuff to do.

Can't bear the thought of not getting up and dressed (pjs all day - ugh, I know some people do it, but nooooo).

If I put on tracksuit pants and a t-shirt I feel munty all day. Maybe I need nicer tracksuit pants?

But I don't like getting properly dressed in real clothes either for lots of reasons.

What do you put on, on these days?

Shalwar kameez are lovely. Was advised as a westerner to buy the top half in a size up, can attest you can be rather flattened if you don't!

Pyjama Room stuff is the best - but sooo expensive. A friend sent me mine as a "cheer you up" present. Nicest thing I've ever had in the post.

I have a black DKNY skirt that is soo comfy I could sleep in it and a cotton black top/t-shirt. respectful enough if anyone pops round...

same as tracybath, I love white co. Roll top trousers and I would go out in them. I have them in black, navy and grey.

Clary · 23/08/2008 18:58

Some of these things are deffo trackie bottoms, just masquerading as yoga pants so stop pretending!

Liking that pyjama room stuff.

giraffescantdancethetango · 23/08/2008 19:00

jeans and a large tshirt.

AuntieMaggie · 23/08/2008 19:06

PJ bottoms and cami if it's warm or jumper if it's not.

Bought some lovely bottoms in ASDA today which also look a bit like tracky bottoms and a bargain to boot!

mrsmalumbas · 23/08/2008 19:09

I just wear the same clothes I'd usually wear - mostly jeans. If I do go out I put on a nice pair of shoes, slap on some lippy and sling on a jacket. Don't have special "lounging" or "going out" clothes.

beansmum · 23/08/2008 19:12

I have a special 'staying in all day' pair of jeans and just wear a big t shirt on top, in winter a rugby shirt and an old pair of hockey socks as well.

cocolepew · 23/08/2008 19:12

Boyfriend jeans which I wear all the time anyway. Or nice bottoms from Asda, not trackie but more yoga pants and a matching trackie top

hoxtonchick · 23/08/2008 21:05

how about this dress

mrsmalumbas · 24/08/2008 22:31

That dress reminds me of the Little Britain sketch where he is the mad woman - the one who goes "eh eh" - can't remember her name...

Blondilocks · 25/08/2008 19:27

I always seem to be in jeans & a t-shirt type thing.
