I just thought they looked so uncomfortable

like all the worst bits of wearing jeans with none of the advantages

I got a school run wrap dress in debenhams in the end

Slouchy · 28/07/2008 13:24

OK, I am wearing fitted white vest (wide straps, v neck), 3/4 white linen trews with brown leather belt and chunky wooden necklace. Flipflops.

i am going commando cos my nudey boy shorts have shrunk and are beyond uncomfortable.

QU:- this using a tampon a la cod in such situs - what about toxic shock? Would my mooncup do the same job?

TigerFeet · 28/07/2008 13:25

Wide leg linen trews

Birkies (silver) with nice toenails

Cotton top - I always have sleeves due to bingo wings but if you have nice arms a vest top can look good.

Mine are quite loose and very light denim, similar to some that someone linkd to about a day trip when everyone was wearing them, from fatface except mine are monsoon sale last year.I know what you mean though some look really tight too.

I wish I could wear wrap dresses but they always seem to make me look pg or something. I always think I've got loads of summer clothes then when it gets really hot like this I realise I've got hardly anything.

frisbyrat · 28/07/2008 13:30

Why are there no links to lovely summer outfits on this thread?

francagoestohollywood · 28/07/2008 13:34

whatever you do, avoid cropped trousers

used2bthin · 28/07/2008 13:40

I'm still hoping for links frisbyrat! Shall I link to my lovely new top that I'm wearing today?

Countingthegreyhairs · 28/07/2008 13:42

struggling with this as I do every year

poor posture so need collar but big norkage with narrow shoulders so can't find shirts or dresses to fit

bingo wings so have to wear 3 quarter length sleeves

long legs so most skirts too short exposing horrible carthorse knees

short body so tum and norks look as though they are welded together

virtually impossible to find trousers that fit well in a natural fabric with good length

Do you think it is possible to join a convent for the summer months only?

used2bthin · 28/07/2008 13:42

Argh I can't, the sale seems to have gone from Monsoon website!

HaventSleptForAYear · 28/07/2008 13:51

slouchy think mooncup would be good (better than a tampon I would say - more comfy).

I have worn mine occasionally when not actually needed iyswim.

Could be the 'real' secret to keeping cool this summer ?[grin)

TigerFeet · 28/07/2008 13:56

countingthegreyhairs have you looked at Bravissimo? They do fitted clothes for the large of nork.

This is nice, good for work

Countingthegreyhairs · 28/07/2008 14:25

Thank you Tiger Feet. That's kind of you!!

Mrs Badger put me on to them in an earlier thread and I have checked them out but haven't ordered anything yet - I get a bit despondent with on-line shopping as NOTHING seems to fit - so I was waiting until I could visit an actual shop later in the summer (don't live in UK).

Perhaps I should take the plunge though - no pun intended ...

The problem about big norkage in the summer is that very few bras are cotton and the result is tantamount to having a hot water bottle permanently attached to your chest ...

Sorry for defeatest hi-jack Cod!

over to those who can offer more constructive advice .....
