fircone, totally with you on belts. Espcially ones with special holders for mobile phones, personal organisers and other essential gadgets for a middle aged man who cannot actually operate them!!!

doggyandteddy · 14/07/2008 14:13

In my stride now. My dad used to wear shorts with so much loose change in the pockets, that the pockets dangled out from the bottom of the shorts

BettySpaghetti · 14/07/2008 14:13

A couple of people have mentioned those low-slung jeans teenagers wear -how on earth do they stay up? They defy the laws of gravity FGS!

MaryAnnSingleton · 14/07/2008 14:15

they don't stay up because the boys are always tugging them up above the tops of their usually manky old knickers

brimfull · 14/07/2008 14:15

shoes like this especially on old men worn with cropped trousers

Sim43 · 14/07/2008 14:16

I could not walk round with them hanging down it would seriously piss me off!

BettySpaghetti · 14/07/2008 14:18

MAS -I followed a lad along the street recently (not a stalker, honest, it was in the name of research ) and he didn't keep pulling them up. They just sort of stayed put.

I had visions of some sort of weird clips/braces worn underneath that hold them up -along the lines of those hideous sock braces old men wear

brimfull · 14/07/2008 14:19

those trainer socks

should only be allowed for women and young children not grown men

brimfull · 14/07/2008 14:20

all cropped trousers on men should be banned

MaryAnnSingleton · 14/07/2008 14:21

perhaps the boy I saw was especially skinny !!

soyabean · 14/07/2008 14:21

deck shoes

brimfull · 14/07/2008 14:22

deck shoes ok imo, must be leather though

Sim43 · 14/07/2008 14:25

Oh I quite like cropped trousers on the right legs. My DP has gorgeous legs and they look lovely on him, however my ExH had vile legs, long thin and skinny, he always looked like a schoolboy in shorts, unlike my DP who has footballers legs cor!

BettySpaghetti · 14/07/2008 14:26

MAS! I know what they do! They must use Tit Tape (the stuff celebs use to hold their minimal dresses in place)

OverMyDeadBody · 14/07/2008 14:26

trainer socks are fine with trainers, at least better than long socks with trainers.

Deck shoes also fine if leather.

OverMyDeadBody · 14/07/2008 14:26

they have velcro strips on their boxers to keep their jeans at that level!

brimfull · 14/07/2008 14:27

trainer socks are on a par with a man getting highlights imo

MaryAnnSingleton · 14/07/2008 14:28

hate trainer socks too
deck shoes if leather and a bit battered because they've been sailing are fine

soyabean · 14/07/2008 14:29

Sorry to all dps with deck shoes, but I have always had a real problem with them... Not quite sure what it is, but they are on a par with loafers imo

soyabean · 14/07/2008 14:30

Well I might be able to cope if they are being worn on a boat

MaryAnnSingleton · 14/07/2008 14:31

nasty man jewellery,esp gold chains,earrings,bracelets

soyabean · 14/07/2008 14:32

string vest as t shirt
polo shirt with collar turned up
any shirt with collar turned up

Quattrocento · 14/07/2008 14:33

Beards
Moustaches
Tattoos
Workmen's bum (jeans showing too much)
Casual shirts tucked into jeans
Socks and sandals
Anoraks (unless hiking)

cadelaide · 14/07/2008 14:33

I saw a man on Sat night wearing a t-shirt which read "To all you Virgins....Thanks for nothing"

AND

the "To" was spelt "Too".
