Does yours still fit?
It was suggested a while back to make something practical with the material of the skirt but it's still in the berketex carrier. I get it out periodically to try on and take a photo every year but that's it.

I wore my mother's dress, and it is back in her attic, in a box which held lilies that my grandfather (who worked for an airline) had shipped for the church. My big sister wore our great grandmother's dress, which she kept in her trousseaux along with various family christening robes.

My Mum sold the lot - with my consent, dress, underskirts, tiara, train etc and gave me the money (that was 21 years ago) and she actually sold it for more than it was bought for .

She thought that as a newly wed, the money would come in handy rather than have a dress hung up in the wardrobe gathering dust.

My dress (top & skirt with train - lovely) was made by a friend of my Mum's. 8 years later it is in a bag in my folks spare room - no doubt complete with wine stains. Mum keeps hinting that I should take it away but don't really have anywhere appropriate to put it at mine! Haven't tried it on so don't know if it still fits - 2 dds later, am afaid to find out!
