I’m five feet 8 size 16 and want tights to wear with dresses and boots in the winter . However I can never get them long enough or they cut me in half round the waist . Any ideas of better ones i could buy !

I'm loving the fleece lined ones that pretend they are British but actually take a week to arriv3 from China. Excellent control and lovely and warm. They're viral everywhere and have a thousand names. I also have Heist for nude and sick shop bamboo for opaques, but for warmth these are fantastic

If I wear tights I always prefer M and S autograph ones.

I like snag but the best tights I’ve found are the modal ones from better tights - who also do a range of sizes in the same way that snag. but they are the only tights I’ve found that I’m not desperate to take off the minute I get in from work

I generally prefer hold ups (m and s, 5' 4" size 14-16 and currently wear their medium. They've recently made the hold up part much bigger, I used to have to wear an XL so it fitted round my thighs).

Alternatively, my mum is a major fan of snkpping the waistbands. You can't snip all the way through it, but she cuts a few nicks, half or two thirds of the way deep through the waistband and says it makes a huge difference.

I buy footless tights, wear with socks and boots, I hate normal tights with the feet as they just fall down and I slip around in my shoes. Snag footless tights are great or I buy dance footless tights on Amazon and eBay as you can't seem to get them in the shops.

I wear tights 7 days a week and I swear by M&S ‘Body Sensor’. I’m also 5’8” and a 16. I’m very hourglass and I prefer M&S to Snag.

What size do you buy? I am 5'7" and a 14/16. It irks me that in M&S to be really comfy I have to buy XLarge.

I’m a fan of snag too. I threw my M&S ones away when I discovered Snag.
