Fortunately for my bank balance, I am at work tomorrow morning and so won’t be able to even think about the SFAC! Given my dislike of most niche fragrances it would be the height of silliness for me to buy it!

Re: KBeauty - I actually prefer the Boots x StyleKorean a/c to the ‘real’ SK offering. (I never thought that the Boots one was ‘it’ for the year). It’s still in my Boots basket but I am not pressing ‘buy’ as I have do much stuff already.

At the moment, I am quite happy with my DIY a/cs, but I am waiting to see if there are any reductions in the run up to BF.

Re: A/C fatigue - I agree that the vast majority of potential customers haven’t even given beauty a/cs a thought as yet so aren’t fed up of them at all! For me, I think the early launches and ridiculous teasers/spoilers took the edge off any excitement for me. (Plus my disappointment with Liberty and my BD conundrum has somewhat dampened my enthusiasm 🙀)

No other explanation other than greed, thinking they can charge £410 instead of £175 🙁

My first ever fragrance advent was Space NK and I bought it every year since. It's how I got in fragrance. Harrods does nothing for me I have to say, I had it once and I didn't keep single perfume from it

I hope I can get my hands on Selfridges, it would be amazing if Brown Thomas do one. If not I will keep my eyes on the swap & sale groups and the ebay shops of the few regulars to see if I can score few deals.

They're a business not a charity. They will price it for as high as they believe it will sell. (Yes, it does seem ridiculously high & I doubt it will sell out at that price).

My thoughts and prayers for those waiting for shipping and or - I can’t bring myself to say “dropping” sorrry - let’s say,release times for new ACs esp for tomorrow!
I don’t know if I’m getting confused with these threads and last years but I do think there was talk before of a Dub meet up! Poss a trip to BT and lunch at Shelbourn hotel? That sounds lovely to me I’d leave right now if I could!

I have no hope of getting Selfridges FAC if they release it at 9 or 10am either. I leave for work just after 8.30 and then have to leave my phone in my locker until I finish at 1pm. Trying to tell myself it is for the best as I already have the Harrods one but I know I will feel sad about missing out on it. 😏

Also I can’t remember who didn’t want the candle snuffer in the home fragrance AC but I LOVE a candle snuffer and think theyre essential! Ofc now I’m not allowed near naked flames but a candle snuffer and a wick trimmer are vital IMO. I’ve passed this onto my DCs along with first burn info etc and whilst their friends may think theyre a bit wanky, their candles are always great!

@AdventAdoration - I would love a Dublin meet up and a Shelbourne lunch! I worked there in Sales & Marketing back in the 80s…… Yes - I am indeed that old.

They can price it at whatever they want, of course. Doesn’t mean anyone will buy it 🤣

I have a window of time between meetings at 9.30-10, although I could travel to a store on Thursday evening if needs be. Just don't want to travel and they are not there.

Those of you saying their partners will be useless buying the selfridges fac tomorrow, I am feeling triggered on your behalf. I managed to buy Metallica tickets for my partner while he was at work and he managed to buy Savage Garden lead's tickets for me while I was babysitting. All while fighting bots on ticketmaster,whereas selfridges will be just a virtual queue and checkout fast.If something is important to your partner you bloody show some effort. Its not like they are paying,it wont even occur to them .

So envious that you’ve seen Savage Garden! Also we are probably exactly the same age 😂

It might have been me! I just know the snuffer would live in the drawer. I'm completely on board with a wick trimmer, however. I'm not a monster

On another note, I still haven't ordered the Liberty BAC. Does anyone think I should hang on for a Black Friday discount? Is that risky?

The first gig I ever went to was Savage Garden when touring their first album 😅

My envy is increasing by the minute! I’m not sure if I’d have been old enough to go to a gig for their first album, maybe Affirmation though (think that’s what the blue one was called). Am in awe of you guys!

I was in my early teens when the first album came out (and in Australia). From what I remember it was a good gig 😅

So I am clearly a monster 😂 I’ve been using small scissors . But I do love a candle and it is the season . Can you recommend a good brand ? I’m not planning on buying the Harrods one as much as I’d love too . But I will most def be in the look out for some lovely ones on Black Friday . I did get a couple of bargains on JL website so I I’m n need of the professional tools !
