Anyone still waiting for LF bac? I ordered on 1st September and was told dispatch would be from 22nd September. Still no dispatch details as at 2nd October and I’ve messaged them and they are no saying October.
Im tempted to cancel but will I get my money back, I imagine they will mess that up too.

I ordered on 9th Sept and received tracking yesterday. It's due to arrive on 5th October.

I don't know, is it because we've ordered on BT's NI website?

Parcel flow's main operations are to do UK to Ireland via NI, so maybe check if you can get stuff forwarded to you through them?

I'm thinking I'll do a trip there next October though, so if there's any Bacs / facs you want from here, I'd be happy to bring them with me 😊

Thank you. That's really kind of you.

BT treat NI as Ireland as that was the agreement under the Windsor Framework. The negotiators obviously had not anticipated this year's excellent BT offering when coming up with the rules.

I used to use AddressPal or Parcel Motel pre brexit but it got very expensive post Brexit as UK VAT was not removed as they were shipping to NI but then Irish taxes and duties were charged plus the carrier admin fee. I'll have a closer look at Parcel Flow though as I had never heard of them

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 02/10/2026 16:54

You lot are such a bad influence! I have Harrods, Boots Luxe, Glossybox and awaiting delivery of Fortnum & Mason. I thought I was done but have been dithering over Elle and seeing on here that it was down to Β£176 just had to buy it. I then hot-footed it over to Selfridges to spend some more only to see the AC had sold out again. Actually I breathed a sigh of relief that I’d been saved from myself. πŸ˜‚

Ooh - that fenwick one was so lush, but they don’t ship here. We could organise a massive pop up swop shop! Lol

wonder will BT do the number crunching and see if the British market is something they want to tap into? They probably didn’t bother before - Harrods and Selfridges already present
the MN gang could have started a revolution!

AdventAdoration · 02/10/2026 17:04

Oh that BT AC is a real thing of beauty! Fabulous.

well I am always on β€œopening” threads but only ever for dec - are there usually any Jadvent threads? Or even Febvent?

this year was not going for AC as probs be in hosp and after so many restrictions like no candles, bath stuff, scalp and face stuff etc. was resigned to this (actually I really really wasn’t Grin) but brave faced it.

lovely lovely DH has just presented with the most gorgeous L,Occitan AC! So it will be hopefully a Jadvent or maybe a Febvent so I wondered if threads will still going seeing as you lot buy about eight million ACs?Grin I can open it alone but if there is jan or feb ones it’d be great

if anyone waiting for their ACs impatiently etc would like a heart warming AC tale this is it! In hosp I won’t be allowed to shower for 3/4 weeks (yes I know!) or wash any hair I have left. So DH has spent ages looking at ACs and chose the L,Occitan as it is very much soap/shower/body cream as when I get home I will be DESPERATE to shower obvs. So I can have lots of fab showers and the only two hair products are tiny and I’ll only have tiny hair left Grin or can gift if no hair. And my hands will be so gorgeous smelling and soft.

(i asked here a few thread back which handcream had the funny top and people kindly answered, but DH didn’t even know about that!) It’s also a beautiful packing. I’m so happy as it’s something to look forward to.

I know it’s a one brand and I don’t know thr cost but for people who like, can’t think of thr word sorry! Showery stuff in a collected scent? It’s lovely and for travelling too.

Mildred believes I’ve got enough perfume coming in BACs and FACs to last between 6-8 years πŸ˜…That’s if I spray four sprays every day and never miss a day. 54 bottles of perfume are coming to live at my house.

Any ideas on a nice way to display some of them? Gosh I’m excited!

AdventAdoration · 02/10/2026 17:14

Asked for post above to be deleted as actually bad taste.

I just love the thought of mners being a cause of BT shipping to uk! And setting straight the sellers who send leaked or missed products. We are like a massive consumer group. All seller shld have a loyalty card thing for mners Smile

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 02/10/2026 17:15

I love that @AdventAdoration ! What a gorgeous present. I can well imagine you’ll be desperate for a shower and it’ll be so nice to have one with gorgeous products, I really like L’Occitane.

XelaM · 02/10/2026 17:17

@AdventAdoration I love L’Occitane!! It's the loveliest hand cream. A whole advent calendar of L’Occitane products will be so lovely!! Your DH is lovely!

All the best for your treatment x

I’ve just seen this ! This might be where my beauty drop money goes !! Available from early November
adventcalendar.co.uk/

Just to confirm, that was the 2022 Liberty FAC. They priced it at Β£275, when the first Harrods FAC, also in 2022, was priced at Β£150 and worth significantly more. As a result, it didn’t sell nearly as well as Harrods and I think was eventually discounted. Based on that experience, Liberty seem to have have steered clear of doing a FAC ever since.

I initially liked the Fenwick AC and was tempted but changed my mind when I saw how many small sizes there were. It’s a shame as it had the potential to be really good.

the MN gang could have started a revolution!

With @JoRaRaRa as the poster girl for the campaign. I can just see it

It all began last year (cue JoRaRaRa coming down the steps of a plane in Dublin Airport, hair blowing in the wind, with a welcome committee from BT waiting at the bottom of the steps)

This woman, who had the choice of all the British beauty advent calendars, saw her chance for something new, something different, something that would make her advent extra special (cue a zooming in and out shot of the BT advent).

However, adversity struck when she discovered it could not be shipped to her home (cue JoRaRaRa stamping her foot and crying "I must have it, I will find a way").

She explored flights, boats, homing pigeons, balloons, until she eventually decided on a two pronged approach - Parcel Flow (cue a video of busy Parcel Flow workers loading BT advents into trucks) and, as a back up, Click and Collect with a flight to Dublin booked to collect her treasure.

Her dedication to the cause and her steely determination (cue a video of JoRaRaRa gently stroking her BT advent) means we cannot let her down this year (cue trumpets, fireworks etc)

We are delighted to announce we are, for the first time, and thanks to the dedication shown by JoRaRaRa and her fellow MNers (cue a video of all the intrepid MNers who braved Parcel Flow holding their BT advents aloft and cheering) we will now ship to GB as well as NI so nobody in the UK is left out.

Hope it all goes well and next year you are fit and well and able to enjoy many many advents

🀣🀣🀣 brilliant!! I'm hoping this is the outcome 🀞🏻 We shall campaign for all advents to be open to everyone across UK and Ireland πŸ₯³ It will be called the Advent Calendar Cross-border Equal-acvess Shopping Scheme (ACCESS for short).

I'm driving myself mad trying decide on a calendar this year. The Elle is so tempting at that discounted price, I think it could be my front runner. I'm still contemplating the Vogue, and to throw a spanner in the works I have a Β£90 LF voucher, so I may go for that. Will LF do a beauty chest this year, do we know?
