M&S is cool, but we knew that, didn’t we?

Interesting article on the BBC website today. I’m actually really surprised that it’s not done a London Fashion Week show before.
Certainly over the last few years it’s become one of my go-to places if I decide I need new jeans, a particular kind of dress etc. It’s even acceptable to my 16yo DS who’s very particular about where his clothes come from and has quite a small list of “acceptable” high St brands he’ll deign to go into!

Is it cool to wear M&S clothes now? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cje3rk4p39zwo

The retailer hosted its first-ever London Fashion Week show this week, celebrating 100 years of producing clothing.

What is a "fashion-y" person @EleanorMc67?

I just mean that they're not hugely "into" fashion for the sake of it? But want to look up-to-date.

Lots of people (from reading these threads) seem to gauge what's in fashion by visiting the shops/what they see others wearing - whereas others will study it a bit (or a lot!) more via watching fashion shows online, reading Vogue & various style websites, what more cutting-edge designers are doing etc.

It's how I would say it if I was talking, rather than being correct grammatically, I suppose.

(Wasn't sure if you were querying the meaning or my spelling?!!!)

I would be intrigued to know on this thread what you all think of Kathryn Turner. I know it’s the food side of M&S but it’s an interesting way to advertise their items.

I love her! And I think it’s sparked a lot of conversation around employee generated content and how retailers can tap into it for marketing purposes. I don’t know how organically it really happened with Kathryn, but if it didn’t then I think M&S played an absolute blinder.
