For example, what do you do in the mornings? What do you eat? Meditation or exercise? I'm looking forward to all your suggestions.

God I'm useless in the mornings

Theyreeatingthedogs · 23/08/2026 22:42

I like to do a 4 mile walk first thing. If I don't I feel quite stiff for the rest of the day.

I do a 20 minute Pilates session on YouTube and it’s made a real difference. It’s quick and easy and loosens all my joints etc and makes me feel great!

Get up. Growl. Shout at everyone for being forgetful. Drive all to school at multiple drop offs. Home. Walk dog. Shout at emails from forgetful people. Write nice and helpful replies to said emails. Actually start my day. Wish I made a green tea.

I get up at least an hour and a half before I have to leave for work, actually close to two hours before most mornings. I have time to have a decent breakfast, pleasant shower, dress, clean up my kitchen, browse news or whatever I fancy on my phone, plan dinner or get a shopping list together.

When I had all the DCs at home I got up even earlier because I really cherished that time on my own inside my own head without any interruptions.

Get up at the last minute possible to maximise my sleep 😀

Quick shower, up and out in 20 mins.

*reads thread with interest and takes notes

*remembers that DC2 doesn't sleep through the night yet and DC1 wakes at the crack of dawn

*throws away notes and makes coffee

I feel my best when I wake up gently & then do some yoga or pilates, have a shower & then eat a nice breakfast.

This is not my routine unless I’m dreaming as I have a commute/work & small dc

8.15 back, breakfast
8.45-9.15 Read
9.15 - clear up
10am Housework (use Organised Mum Method)
11am, get changed, make-up on

I use chatGPT and www.modebase.co for planning my outfits. I massively struggle with this part of the morning and this has made a huge difference

CadiFfan · 26/08/2026 18:09

coffee and toast.

skincare and makeup. Always wear make up

IHatePostmanPat · 26/08/2026 21:37

I like it when my husband, DC and myself are all in bed together. Doesn’t happen often due to work schedules, but it’s lovely when it’s full of cuddles. Other than that I am up every morning for either work on weekends or school/dc being up. Don’t have much say in the matter!

Fidgety31 · 26/08/2026 23:21

Weekdays - gym. Shower . Work

Find it a bit grim hearing some people don’t shower before they go to work!
