From any point in history, really, including now. Pictures welcome!
I particularly loved the 90's relaxed and fluid styles, not too baggy or wide but still comfortable - strappy dresses for summer, only slightly fitted with a nice drape, or the more indie styles with 501's and boots.

I love most of what Helen Baxendale wore during that period, and have always like the author Rebecca Solnit's older styles... also Harriet Wheeler from the band The Sundays. Maybe not the most exciting examples but I'm not a exciting person Grin

Would love to hear yours!

For me, Audrey Hepburn always made everything look good, classic and classy! Also the 90's supermodels, Cindy Crawford etc.... Loved that era! Stevie Knicks totally different style to what I wear, but she always looks good

Brora.

relaxed country vibe, bright AND subtle colours (I like both), masses of cashmere, linen, cotton, silk and wool

comfortable layers, nothing ‘tight’. Beautiful models with natural hair, berry lip colours.

The whole thing is 1910-1940 moved entirely into the present. Just love that whole ageless vibe.

In my dreams: Katherine Hepburn, Carolyn/Fiona Shaw in Killing Eve, Kristin Scott Thomas in Slow Horses.

In my actual life: Bilbo Baggins.

Emma Peel and Lady Penelope.

Sorry, I know that's two. I have more if you want them.

Oh yes!!!!!!!

Carolyn Bessette. Loved her in her NYC years and I channel her in work clothes to this day.

Sienna Millers boho style is gorgeous, and so is Kate Moss. I loved the range Kate did for Topshop, thanks to Mounjaro I’m back in to a size 8 and there’s loads of it on Vinted. Obviously the style queen was Carrie Bradshaw.

The Tom Ford at Gucci years were my absolute favourite. I don't think there's been sexy glamour like that since.

'Carolyn/Fiona Shaw in Killing Eve, Kristin Scott Thomas in Slow Horses'

Two EXCELLENT shouts 👍 it helps that they're both gorgeous women with stunning bone structure

Kate Moss, Alexa Chung and Jemima Kirk are mine. I have similar colouring and build to Alexa so think to myself would she wear this when I buy stuff. I love Kate and Jemima for the way their style seems so laid back, boho and effortless, I want to be like that and try but then I feel like I love like I've tried!

Agree with Lauren Bacall, Katherine Hepburn and Audrey Hepburn. Also Diane Keaton especially Annie Hall style.

Michelle Obama is also a great shout. I’m about half her height though ☹️

Kate Moss
Jo Whiley
Sarah Jessica Parker

Carolyn Bessette and that whole 90s east coast preppy vibe, but with 70s Pucci kaftans thrown in.

Chocoholic27 · 30/07/2026 22:42

Love Princess Kate's hair and her regal style. Also loved Jennifer Anniston's hair growing up. Mariah Carey also had gorgeous hair.

Minasama · 30/07/2026 22:46

Audrey Hepburn - so elegant. And I can’t wear them, but I loved the Marilyn Monroe 50s dresses.
